Transfers rumours

Leinster reportedly met with Israel Dagg while he was in Dublin.

Munster also reportedly approached the IRFU looking to keep Taute with Western Province maybe willing to let his contract fly due to financial difficulties. Would be a financially good deal as Saili is reportedly being paid as much as 500K, and Taute wouldn't be paid nearly as much. Ulster reportedly also interested if we can't swing it. Would love this to come through.

Ulster not interested in him but hoping we get him as it'll open a loophole

Eh.... Clearly a talented player, but the attitude looked off. Flashes of brilliance, and a lot of trying to overdo it, trucking it up or running aimlessly. He had the cheek to criticize Irish skills in comparison to NZ's when he regularly kicked away good possession and got into some bad habits despite his clear x factor. He really improved towards the seasons end when he had Scannell firing on all cylinders inside him, so I'd love to see him kick on, but if we have a cheaper alternative who has hit the ground running in every way it makes no sense to keep him.
On a way pettier level I think Taute has more of a Munster 'attitude' in some peoples eyes which makes fans overly critical of him. In their eyes you can't be part of the worst performing season in Munster's professional history while still having fun and dancing about on the pitch. I'd love to see Saili in a team that's actually flying high and has direction. He tried too hard last year.

Reading that blame has to be laid at the players feet aswell. Like it or not Castleford are his employers still and to not turn up, especially without talking to the club, is a bit petulant
