Eh.... Clearly a talented player, but the attitude looked off. Flashes of brilliance, and a lot of trying to overdo it, trucking it up or running aimlessly. He had the cheek to criticize Irish skills in comparison to NZ's when he regularly kicked away good possession and got into some bad habits despite his clear x factor. He really improved towards the seasons end when he had Scannell firing on all cylinders inside him, so I'd love to see him kick on, but if we have a cheaper alternative who has hit the ground running in every way it makes no sense to keep him.
On a way pettier level I think Taute has more of a Munster 'attitude' in some peoples eyes which makes fans overly critical of him. In their eyes you can't be part of the worst performing season in Munster's professional history while still having fun and dancing about on the pitch. I'd love to see Saili in a team that's actually flying high and has direction. He tried too hard last year.
