Transfers rumours

Same poster saying Ford is likely off end of season to Tigers or stains

Not sure how on the money he is on Fearns but when it comes to Bath he is spot on generally from what I gather.

Prob true although doesn't make as much sense really for Fearns IMO.

Sarries probably does make sense for Fearns to a point. Billy is obviously first choice, but he'd be competing with Wray and Rhodes - neither of whom are markedly better than he is. He'd also be far more likely to win some silverware.

Still, I'd imagine he'd be a starter at Tigers, so it's a bit of a toss up.

I really can't understand why Ford would leave Bath for Tigers or Saints? Blackadder clearly puts a lot of faith in him and I'd expect Bath to carry on improving, unless Cockerill and Mallinder move on, I can't say the same for the other two.

Moriarty would be the biggest loss. I think people on Shedweb were saying he's in contract for another year though.

tbf, I don't think it's a desperate situation. Back row is a strong area for Glos. We'd still have Savage, Ludlow, Evans, Kalamafoni, Rowan and the conveyor belt of talent from the academy... nothing sensational and we'd need to find some decent replacements, but we'd be alright.

I think Morgan would suit Tigers if he puts his mind to it, hopefully he can get back to the form where he was genuinely challenging Vunipola.

Would prefer Fearns in terms of physical needs but we need an 8.

Fearns spent most of his early career at 8 (and 6).
Played a lot of 7 afterwards but isn't a natural Openside, it was initially a "we want him playing and it doesn't matter where" - reminds me of SOB in that regard.
I reckon he could easily shift back to 8. He's injury probe enough to be a Tiger as well.

The current NFL minimum salary is roughly £350k... that's almost certainly more than Anthony is making now.

OBJ - for comparison's sake, has earned just shy of £7m over three seasons in salary alone - not taking into account other earnings.

Also - he has an American girlfriend and several cousins that play elite college football.

You don't think Watson is earning 350k? He'll be getting that in England games alone if he stays fit. 90k for each EPS naming (so 180k for both), along with 15k match fees I believe, and we have 11 tests most seasons, there's 345k, throw in win bonuses and he'll easily go past 350k. I doubt he's on a pittance at Bath either, which of course only tops all the rest up.

Would prefer Rhodes, as he is able to play lock and 6, and is actually a very important player for us. Wray I really like as well. Fearns is a good player but a needless one IMO.

Since when does that happen?

According to TRP Haag is going to be sack by Ryan and Melville. Can't understand why?

Also Glous are offering Fearns 50k more than anyone else currently.

I reall really hope Fearns avoids Glous TBH esp if he has eyes on England.
