The Official Gavin Henson Thread

And every Saracens fan (and probably Welshman except cyRil) celebrates.

and me (as in the exception :D :D). Its a shame that he aint gonna be there for the english game. i seriously think if picked (debatable whether he deserves to even be in contention at all but..) he'd pull his F from his A and perform. Seems to like "BIG" occasions, and i think he'd have a good attitude about it. Anyways hopefully this will now open the way for Bishop or Jon Davies to partner Roberts. Hopefully this will give him an opportunity to play regular rugby and play his way into the WC squad. If picked on form i'm sure everyone will get off his back for a bit (at least until he has a howler of a game in the red shirt :p). Anyways with welsh players dropping like flies left, right and centre..... February 4th is looking more doubting every day :( :(

Cyril s'il vous plaît venez avec moi en France, je vais être seul il

I just had to!:lol::p

No action in this thread for a while, so i thought i'd throw a spanner into the works.

Any news on when his Toulon Debut will be??? Looks as if its gonna be a short spell at Toulon with Giteau's arrival - Shock return move to the O's now Hook's gone??? :p :p

Is he still out injured?
Planet rugby preview says Toulon are without him (amongst a list of others) for this weekend

yer i'm quite surprised that they don't say anything regarding him even on scrum V. strange..... very strange....
Henson never keeps a low profile :p

Moving to France seems to have been a good option already. He's not being talked about in the press atall, and Toulon aren't giving us weekly updates on how good he looks in training etc. (like Sarries did). Hopefully he can now knuckly down and concentrate on his rugby, with some of the pressure off. One thing's for sure, Toulon won't play him untill they know he's ready, with the calibre of players at the club, there's simply no reason.

well talk about chucked back in the deep end :D :D
And seeing that brit bingo advert made me think he wasn't gonna be back in rugby :p :p The line "you wouldn't last 2 minutes on a rugby field" (or something to that affect) was highly amusing in that advert. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfNFgCo1Hfc
(thats for those of you that haven't seen the shokin advert).
Well best of luck to him, cause theres a **** load of people not routing for him to succeed. bring on the weekend

(not the one with the "infamous" line, but its still as cringeworthy)

Aha, hadn't seen that bingo ad - almost as bad as Byrne's cash-for-gold one :p

Will be interesting to see him back on the pitch - will only get to watch half of the match because of the Sale vs Northampton game on, but will look forward to see him flattened by Bastareaud :p

I couldn't believe it when I first saw it! I was thinking "Neither would you, Gav".

same here, all of us in uni were cringing watching it. money talks i guess

Haha, yeh saw both the bingo ads the other day, shocking!

This really is a baptism of fire for Gav to make his Toulon debut, interested to see how he goes. At least he's at 12, where he's most comfortouble I guess.

Needs the next 4 or so games to prove that he can help be the creative force Wales are lacking. Come in Gavlar your time to shine has come.

So, he moved to London to be near his kids - fair enough. Then moved to the south of France because apparently playing 10 is more important than his kids, perhaps.

Now he finds himself away from his kids and playing centre at the weekend.

You have to say that is a something of a balls-up in terms of life and career strategy.
