Test Match 2: All Blacks v British & Irish Lions (Wellington)

Just time for a quick sleep before the game- predictions for me sadly is that NZ win by around 10pts margin.

Desperately hoping for Lions to win this and set up what would be a mammoth 3rd Test back at Eden Park. Would be great for rugby.

However, barring an absolute turn up from the Lions forwards, I don't see how they prevent the NZ go forward and momentum with Faz at 12 unless they have him defending at outside centre and attacking at inside.

Have to be pitch perfect with kicks tomorrow- anything less and NZ will eat them alive.

Excited to have Teo, Sincler, and Lawes to bring on.

Worried that they might be 3 scores down by the time they get on!

Go Lions- prove everyone wrong!

Regardless of the score tomorrow, I desperately want Warburton to have the game of his life, I'd also like to see the replacement's brought on with a fighting chance of affecting the outcome not when it's out of sight.

That's what i reckon
Keep it in touching distance for 50-60 then get blown away at the end

Even in the bad weather?

Would love to see a blowout but, I'm sure the Lions will attempt to play a territory match this outing. In this weather, they would be stupid not to, especially with Sexton and Farrell at 10 and 12 and with Te'o and Lawes etc off the bench in the 2nd half they should be looking to keep up with the AB's.

I'm really looking forward to the potential Te'o vs Laumape battle in the 2nd half too. This could determine whether it will be a blowout or not.

I'll be in Stanstead when this is on I think so I'm hoping I don't get shanked if Sexton drops a ball. Just hoping I don't get shanked in general.

Match morning! Going for Lions by a score, why not. I'm high on caffeine and rational thought has been chucked out the window!

Lets have some fun! GO LIONS!!

I'm a Kiwi in Aussie. About an hour for kick-off. All the Aussie sports nuts around me are as excited as I am about this match - the best playing the best. We all know never to under-estimate any Lions side and the ABs have a well known history of winning game after game, but losing when the chips are down. How many world cups have we lost as the raging favourite? Wellington weather will play a role for sure and those up and unders could go any which way in a stadium famous for its swirling wind flows. Maybe the bounce of the ball will decide this test - who knows. Surrounded with Aussies cheering for anyone NZ plays, I will stay loyal to the AB's and, above all, hope we see Perenara/Barrett/Laumape on the field in that combo. Good luck to both teams!!

The betting guy feels the Lions are the 2nd best team in the world. I agree with that. Should be a goodie.

But the Lions is the biggest money making scheme of them all... It literally means nothing, no World ranking points, no competition, a fabricated rivalry, no one really cares when they lose etc... November internationals serve a purpose in preparing for 6nations and World Cups and league playoffs level off the competition which has been skewed by missing internationals. And with regard to playing too much rugby between the November internationals and league playoffs there are 5 games most players will have 3 or 4, the Lions have double that amount of games.

What are you, fifteen years old?

Its a rivalry that goes back 39 matches and 113 years, back to a time when there was NO money in the game, NO ranking points, when the game was played purely for the love of it.

Actually if you look up the Lions history you will see it was a commercial entity
