Super Rugby: Blues vs. Stormers in Albany (03/05/2013)

Completely agree on the fighting thing, there's more than enough opportunities to express physicality without fighting, I cringe every time someone seems to be starting a scuffle. Just doesn't make any sense, risking getting sent off or accumulating bad will with the referee for what? You're not going to intimidate professional rugby players, even as a schoolboy if someone had a bit of a go on the feeled it just got me more motivated to put him on his backside.

important result for the blues

I think putting ranger on the wing was a mistake. Saili was exposed on defense and ranger was not in the game as much as he should have been. If ranger was playing 13 it would have been a comfortable win IMO he would have done a much better job of containing JDV who basically single handedly kept his team in the contest.

The Stormers have to be the most arrogant team on this competition. Ive said it before and il say it again, players that love to fight shouldnt be in the Boks squad and the Stormers players are the ones that enjoy fighting the most from a south african point of view. We've seen like 5 fights already this game and i forgot how many last weekend against the Hurricanes, there were a lot of fights there too, or scuffles whatever u wanna call them!!

Prime Suspects:
1.Duane Vermualen
2.Eben Etzebeth
3.Deon Fourie
4.Riaan Elstardt
5.De Kock Steenkamp
6.Tiaan Liebenberg

IN that order too!!!

yeah, Eben Etzebeth worries me. Such a young guy with limitless potential yet he's already made a name for himself for the wrong reasons. Fronted the judiciary and been involved in an "eye-gouging incident"

Spot on I reckon. The Stormers made pretty consistent yards up the middle, and there was obviously JDV's clean linebreak too. I also think Ranger would have bent the line a little bit more than Willison and Saili managed to with ball in hand. I think JK will definitely go back to Saili/Ranger for next week.
