Super 14 Final

I hope the Chiefs lose. That is partly because I am a Hurricanes supporter. It wouldn't look very good for us if we had just missed out on the ***le so many times and the Chiefs had managed to get it the first season they are any good. So go the Bulls! The Bulls should win at Loftus, really. The conditions could suit the Chiefs running game, however. The Chiefs can definately cause the upset but I just really hope that they don't.

Only s14 I've watched so far was the Bulls semi - really excellent. Steyn was master at OH.

Interesting to see how Kahui has come on.

What a team the Bulls are :D The final was over by half-time. Are the Bulls playing the Lions during their tour? If they are, and have all their Super14 players, the Lions will do well to beat them. Can all the Bulls supporters inform me why their team puts the first-names of their players on their backs, instead of their last-names? Is it to make the team seem more friendly to the supporters? ;)

Yep, I'd say it doesn't look good for the Lions...

How much of a difference do you think it makes being the home side in a final? Just seemed like the Bulls had so much more desire for the game - they were the better side, but the way they were hitting every tackle like it was their first of the game just screamed passion. An excellent performance.

South Africa is BLUE tonight!!!
Well done to the Bulls, thoroughly deserved :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:

well i was right in saying that the sharks wouldnt make it and were well dusted at the halfway mark... the chiefs showed how NOT to play with the bulls, crusaders already showed it and i cant understand why the chiefs tried it again, the wide game...absolutely killed them, mistakes and aggessive bulls attack dominated the game, well done to them, very deserving. They showed everyone that they are the most rounded team in the comp, and can confidently say, at least 10 of them will be in the springboks lineup :S
all in all, GREAT GAME by fourie du preez, absolute outstanding first half, i missed out second half lolz and i wonder why

The bulls aren't playing the Lions and why I don't know. If they do I must have checked the fixtures wrong. Their first names on the back is mabe just for the players special jerseys, because it also says super 14 final Loftus at the front. They will keep it in some hall of fame thing they have at home

Saffa's please take this form and whip the Lions, so we can stick all the NH supporters' accusations that we have poor defense up their a***.

I'm happy that the Chiefs got smoked because I was getting s#@! all week from my workmates about how they beat the Canes. I cheered for Masaga when he got that first try because I'm mates with his oldest brother but the highlight for me was watching Pierre Spies at 6'4 bout 108kg running a good 60-65m down the field with Anesi trying to chase him from the other side of the field that was a awesome sight.

Too bad for the Chiefs but gees I think all the submarine supporters at work that only surfaced when the going was good are gonna go back into hiding again after a performance like that. Steyn, Habana, Matfield and Botha were all fire what a final. To be honest it's probably one of the most exciting I can remember.

Awesome, awesome display of rugby by the Bulls. I was watching with Stormers and Sharks fans, and we couldn't help but cheer them on like they were our own team.
Great speech by Mils at the end, class player and person. Very kind and humble words from him.

With this game, and the Sharks vs Bulls game, in mind it's clear that many Bok players are hitting great form right before the Lions tour games. Bodes well for our chances but keeping that sharpness will be hard with the 1st only being played 3 weeks from now. Such a pity that game against the Moari's was cancelled due to our STUPID government who truely have no idea what rugby tradition is all about.

That was a massacre. The Bulls would have beaten the All Blacks that night on that ground. Incredible. Absolutely incredible. The standout players for me were:

- Derick Kuun (wow this kid has had an incredible season...)
- Dewald Potgieter (The new Schalk Burger i feel... seeing as Burger is horse at the moment)
- Fourie du Preez (Best rugby player on the planet at the moment. !@#$ Elsom)
- Morne Steyn (Brilliant)
- Meisikind (The form centre in Springbok rugby)

And of course, Victor Matfield.

One thing that is still annoying me, is the face that everyone is raving about Zane Kirchner as a MUST-START 15 for South Africa. I'm sorry, WHAT!? If anyone watched the final, they would have noted the following aspects of his game:

- He ALWAYS kicks up-and-unders, one of which led to a try thanks to his **** follow up... He basically gifted Masanga a try.
- He was out-paced by Stephen Donald. So he is a slow poke.
- EVERY time he took the ball into a tackle, it was turned over. On 2 of these occasions, try scoring opportunities were wasted thanks to his selfish play.

What the hell does everyone see in him?

For the record, i think the Lions didn't sleep that night... It was honestly, a scary display. Springbok rugby is in a very, VERY strong position at the moment. If i was a Lions player, i would have been scared shitless at that display...

"That was a massacre. The Bulls would have beaten the All Blacks that night on that ground"
I doubt that...Even with that form the Cheifs were a weakened and unorganised team that played bad football. Every post I see from u m8 seems 2 be rediciously pro SA rugby, without logic. It's not an insult it is just an observation. As for if the Bulls faced the Lions it would be interesting. I may get abused for saying this but dosn't anyone else notice the number of errors Ndungane makes every game?

I also don't rate the Ndungane's as good enough to start. Also, in my opinion, I DO think that the Bulls would have beaten your national team on THAT NIGHT at THAT GROUND. Also, i am pro SA rugby, because we just won the Super14, and just won the 7's World championship, and of course, because i feel that we have the best players in the world at this moment.

The Chiefs played the way they played because the Bulls were THAT good. Got sweet jack to do with them being weakened and unorganized - that's just an excuse.

Explain the 'without logic comment' if you please... with plenty of quotes to prove this statement...

And for the record... this is quoted from one of your very own New Zealand news papers...

“The Bulls would have beaten â€" make that thrashed â€" the Lions (on Saturday). Goodness me, they might have even beaten the All Blacks, so irrepressible were they.â€[/b]

May as well say the same thing about your own media i guess... and that's not an insult, just an observation...
