Frankly, I do not care about the flaws and what not, we got a result. The confidence will do the players a lot of good. It'll encourage Lancaster to keep gambling. People can go on about how we should have got a win, I do not know, I didn't see it all - but there's been lots of sides recently who should have won and didn't even get a draw. And I never expected anything less than a loss, so whoo-hoo!
We went into that test missing somewhere between five and eight of our first choice pack and replacements, depending on how you look at it. To get a result in South Africa in those situations - and not losing is a result - is always credible. My only worry is that Lancaster will decide our pack is good enough, when for prolonged periods of the series it has not been.
