Spring Tour:New Zealand vs Ireland - 1st Test. (09/06/2012, 08:35 GMT)

So you're telling me Leinster vs Clermont is a step down from Italy vs Scotland? Don't delude yourself.

How about Leinster VS Clermont compared to Ireland v Wales, NZ v Wales, Ireland v England etc... that's a better comparison surely. You still manage to smash Italy and Scotland at home regularly so don't use them as examples.

It does make a difference. But i don't think Ireland would suddenly start winning grand slams every year and consistently beat the SH teams if Schmidt was their coach though, far from it

No one is saying that if we get rid of Kidney we'll suddenly be the best ream in the world. But it would make a huge difference especially with Schmidt for one thing we'd actually have some attacking invention.

Now we are getting somewhere!! I agree with you also in that Schmidt would not suddenly start winning grand slams every year and consistently beat the SH teams.....he would make them play a f.......sight better than they played here and in the 6N though and that is why Kidney should go!!

Is it Kidney's fault that the IRFU haven't appointed a back's coach? It just seems to me like hes a scapegoat

You said international rugby I was showing how stupid that was. No less a person than 118 times capped BO'D said the Clermont match was as hard as any match he's played.

Leinster Clermont would be on par with Ireland V Wales or Ireland England or any 6N game this year , have a look at the game will you and contrast the intensity between games.

I would have thought that that appointment was in the hands of the Manager not the IRFU?

MIght be similar intensity but the pressure is much higher in international rugby

After Savea nailed Kearney he did not want to know snd stood off for his third try. Ireland were one dimensional and never really offered much... very luck the second shirt tugging offence should have been a yellow car. Ireland fortunate not to end up on a fifty point drubbing .

Wait how long has Kidney been coach now? Why didn't you guys get new coaches like we did? We throw away the ones that suck after four years, except us South Africans throw away the ones that don't suck away as well...

Since 2008 and he signed a new contract a while ago...

A 6N higher pressure than those games...******** ..look at the game first before spouting this

My final post on this.....would have thoiught pressure in a knock out game where you are out if you lose would be higher than a league game which is what a 6N game is!

Yea but your playing for you country and the whole country is going to scrutinize or praise your every move. The Leinster boys seem more comfortable in the club environment for instance
