Nothin in SA, just saying thats the refs decision and Warburton must learn from it. So many adverts haven't had time to talk much about it yet.

Red card was harsh, but Alain was within his right to show it under the interpretation of the laws. I think a yellow would have sufficed. I don't think a red is "absolutely the wrong call" but rather just a bit harsh.

I'd say the laws need to be looked at and maybe some of the high profile players or former players involved. The laws are getting ridiculous and some decisions are costing games, It shouldn't be like that and it's unfair for teams.

The worst of it is that there are still people on internet forums (including this one) who will argue that it wasn't red card.

Well sorry to rain on your parade, but that was a red card all day long. For the removal of doubt, here is the relevant extract from the Spear Tackle Memorandum

This memorandum was issued in June 2009. That is over TWO YEARS ago, and yet people still haven't learned.

I thought it was suspect using an Irish ref with French parentage before the game. I doubt that is why he made the call (he's just called it spectacularly wrong), but that type of appointment for such a massive game can only encourage the conspiracy theorists in the event of a dodgy call! And boy, has there been one of those!

I was neutral before the game, but now... COME ON WALES!

Cannot believe there are some absolute brainless idiots here who think it was a red. If it was yellow i would have said fair, but a bit harsh. But a red? Killed the game, and quite rightly so even Pienaar a south african is saying how bad the decision is. Absolutely shocking. Killed the game.
