Premiership Rugby 19/20 - Rd 7

And a try scored, with a penalty from the restart - sounds like water carriers got involved in a fight that Faf/6 started way off the ball, with no TV footage as they were watching the try.
Faf got double cleared out and reacted - nothing in it just handbags

Jono Ross got elbowed in the face in the ruck and that's what it proper kicked off about.
When Flouw got called over he laughed when they said they were restarting with a penalty because he thought the try was getting scrubbed and someone was being sent off
Preistland had a smirk as well, I think he was the one who lashed out

Bath going through their traditional implosion with a side order of brainfarts.

Chris Cook getting an absolute earful from the duPreez brothers
"******* diving, this isn't ******* football, you're pathetic, you should be ashamed of yourself"

Was he diving? Wouldn't put it past him TBH, he's a 9 through and through...

Rob Webber still as **** at the lineout as he was at Bath. How can supposed professionals be so consistently awful at a major part of their role?

It's completely in character for him, but it looked like he was just unprepared for a wrestle when pulled through an ex-ruck after the whistle.
He was also unprepared when Chris Ashton shoved him in the back for no reason whatsoever

Something happened at the ruck and Cook hit the deck next to it - not sure what happened but it looked like he pretended to have been hit when not part of the ruck to try and win a penalty but the AR wasn't buying it

Him and Akker are shocking - Rob was actually alright last season, but this season it's like he's seen how bad Akker has been and didn't want to show him up

Ridiculous how that wasn't a scrum penalty to Bath, Sale were being marched backwards

LBP on the road isn't the end of the world - especially as we, essentially, don't have a lineout and took 50mins to actually wake up

It'll be interesting to find out what happened with the penalty restart from those who were there / can talk to the ref

Narrow home win is great, especially given it sounds like we tried hard to throw it away around 50-60 mins

Sounded a good game at Gardens, but was stop start due to team of 3 and the other 2 15s on pitch.
Fair result to us at end of day but Saints and Glous were both poor in defence and lacked ability to keep ball.
Take result as will Glou with 2

Doesn't sound like there'll be anything more from it
The ref went to the TMO but they didn't have an angle as all the cameras followed play, so the ref penalised Ross for handbags off the ball (which the AR had seen)
Ross told the referee he'd been elbowed in the face but he didn't wanna know,
Rugbypass commentator said he'd seen the Bath player offending and was amazed it hadn't been seen.

I doubt sale will refer it to the citing comission, and even if we did there's no camera angle and the on pitch officials didn't see anything so they'll just stick with the bit they did see - Ross scuffling with someone

Lasike running at Ford/Eastmond was only gonna end one way

Would've been better off putting Eastmond and Ford on the flanks and the flankers defending that channel 5m out

Don't understand why more teams don't do this especially a set piece 5m out. It's just such an obvious weak spot so close, why should the backs defend in the same positions they attach?
