England Saxons to tour South Africa in June

I've never been blown away by Wallace to be honest, and Armand has had a really good season.
Can't help but feel we're a bit light at 8. Is Chisholm an 8? His profile says "backrow" and his only prem start this season was at 6.
I know most of the flankers have player there, but a specialist would've been nice. Then again Beaumont is crocked and Morgan is a crock, so not a massive amount of choice.

My main problem with him is that he is 27 either he is international ready (and if so why not in EPS) or give the development to someone 25 or younger

Olyy, if Sam Jones of Wasps isn't Dai Jones' son I'm going to give up posting for a week. Isn't he? Could have sworn... Mumble mumble.
I don't know what his dad's called but Sam played all age grades for England (and for barbarians).

Thomas Young is Dai Youngs lad and plays flanker for Wasps too...

Fair point, it's not like he's bringing bags of experience to the table either.
Who we expecting as captain?
Attwood? Cipriani?

Hell Armand over Fraser is a surprise.

I mean will the team be
1) Hepburn
2) Taylor
3) Brookes
4) Lees
5) Attwood
6) Ewers
7) Kvesic
8) Armond
9) Robson
10) Cips
11) Wade
12) Burrell
13) Hill
14) Roko
15) Haley

16) McGuigan
17) Harrison
18) Cooper-Woolley
19) Ewels
20) Jones
21) Young
22) Devoto
23) Lewington

Really annoyed at
Lees
Craig
Armand
Young

All 27 or over with no caps, I can understand Attwood due to experiance a good captain option and Cips who else is there really.

I'm pretty sure everyone in the named back row has played 8 at either Premiership or U20 level (Chisholm was an U20 8).

Are they really intending to play Devoto at 10 if Cips gets injured? Jesus H Christ is all I can say to that one.

I didn't realise Don Armand was doing that well in the UK. Hadn't heard much of him since his UCT and Stormers days. Should be interesting to see him again.

Be interesting to what SA do if they go with a mix of experiance and youth I'm okay with this team but if they go with a proper development squad I will be pretty peeved

How exactly does Armand qualify btw?

Just saw an article that says residency, but wouldn't that put him in the same boat as Hughes, and not qualified until the end of the summer?
They both arrived in 2013

Presumably he had the good sense to arrive in England before the summer window.

Well he was still in SA in July 2013.

Guessing he has a Grandparent.

Perhaps, but that's usually well publicised, and I couldn't find anything about him having a grandparent.

I think you will find we all have at least four of them?

Can we not move on from the non England players who are playing for England? Bored now......

You can be pretty sure than any white Zimbo's are EQ before they get here.

Robson is another option.
