England Saxons to tour South Africa in June

Wouldn't have Thacker - Haywood or Taylor (whichever isn't in Australia),
Robson over Simpson (unless Robson's in Aus),
Ford will definitely be in Australia, and Burns is out, so Cipriani at 10,
Doran-Jones is a joke, but I don't know who else there is to choose from, especially with Henry Thomas out

It'd be a shame to see Harrison and O'Connor in the same 23. They're both fantastic players but it'd really show how **** England are at producing backrowers. Same goes for Te'o at 12.

Not overly enamoured over Woodburn/Wade/Short all being there - they're all great going forwards but all have areas of weakness. Not sure who else there is - with biased eyes I'd like to see Addison there (he could go in the 23 shirt as he can cover 11-15).
Has Wilson fallen so low that he isn't being considered before porn dorm?

'bout Collier? Read some good stuff about him, that he messed up the Sarries scrum.

Not sure what the status is with Sharples returning from injury, he's at least out of the rest of the season, but if he returns before the tour, he ought to go. Been back to his best this season.

His fall from grace has been mental. When Cole was out he looked a world beater and people were questioning whether Cole would get his shirt back, and then he's slowly slid since then and is now barely bench quality for Bath. The tide definitely turned, in their pack, when he came on last week.
Maybe it's World Cup hangover? But then he didn't play very much in the World Cup did he?
Shame to see, anyway, as I've always really liked him.

His fall from grace coincided pretty perfectly with his cervical nerve injury during last year's 6N. Came back after surgery too soon through club necessity - playing pretty poorly; and has never looked close to being the same player since. Rightly played next to no part in the RWC; and then has only really been on the bench for Bath as Ford doesn't believe in rotation... or KPN.

Whilst i would def have him ahead of PDJ if the saxons was to used as development a 31 year old with 44 caps wouldn't really fit that description IMO.

Very true,
I'd have Wilson in the EPS or not at all.

PDJ is 30, as well, so not really developing.
Who's the young Newcastle prop we capped to stop Ireland pinching him? Was his name Wilson?
Don't think I've seen him much this season (injured?) but I was really impressed with him in the past, especially considering his age.

Jeeze, just looked on the Aviva site and Scott Wilson's only got 35mins off of the bench this season. Any Falcons fans shed any light on him?

Sharples has one thing going against him.

He is an English back playing for Glous.

it is a cruse dammit.

2) Taylor, Heywood
3) Thomas, ? (Balmain can't think of many obvious other collier maybe)
4) Barrow, Robinson
5) Ewels,
6) Ewers, wallace
7) Kvesic,
8) Morgan (Or whoever maybe Pearce)
9) Robson, Young (Was in england wider training squad)
10) Cips, Loz

Will Auterac be fit for the tour?
Shame he got injured, he should be with the senior side, he's the best young scrummaging loosehead we've got.

Too many oldish players in there with no obvious potential IMO esp forwards.

Mitch lees annoys me a bit, just down to the fact we have quite a few locks that are same age or younger who look decent.

Armand similar a bit.

Happy for Chisholm was impressive with U20's.

And happy with the backs (Bar Burrell).

I thought Sam Jones wanted to play for Wales?

Can't imagine his dad is going to be too happy if he declares for England.

Yeah, Lees has played well but he really seems to be a favourite aussie of EJ, who has been name dropping him since he landed the gig.
We seem to be accumulating quote a lot of non-English forwards.

I like the side, though.
Gutted for Addison, he's had a blinder of a season but then so have the wingers chosen so it's a tough decision. I wouldn't have taken Wade, TBH.
Hope we see a Hill/James centre partnership, that'd be ridic. More likely to be devoted and Burrell though.

Are you thinking of Dai Youngs' lad?

George Mcguigan ireland U20 now lock in with England (Mind signing for tigers prob did that).

I don't get
Lees or Craig ahead of Barrow
Armand ahead of Wallace
young over spencer

@TRF_Olyy agree with Addison i guess Wade has the media attention and people want him to have a chance.

Olyy, if Sam Jones of Wasps isn't Dai Jones' son I'm going to give up posting for a week. Isn't he? Could have sworn... Mumble mumble.

There do seem to be some very strange calls in terms of age over youth, previous international loyalties and even general opinion of form.
