Can't think of many other nations where players feel so overwhelmed by being in the national side. Most players step up internationally. At the moment it feels like most of ours step down.

How much of that is tactics, coaching, game plan. Most prem sides have some form of identity. Even most international sides you have an idea of how they'll set up and play.

With England they seem very reactive, as in we must play x,y,z against different teams. Struggling when teams do something different. We have no current defined style than just set up to be in the fight and try not to lose. Or the phrase I hate "stay in the arm wrestle"

To be honest, at the moment I just don't think we are as good as those top side's I think as a fan base we need to just accept that for the time being. Every team goes through peaks and troughs, sooner or later we will turn it around again. I mean it was only about six years ago when France were in dire straits and look how good they have been over the past few years.

But it doesn't just magically fix itself, so it's not something to sit back and accept.

The French put a lot of time, effort and thought into fixing their setup, and are now reaping the rewards - it's not just random chance

Of course I want England to be the best team in the world and thump everyone we play.

But seeing as we are on an online chat we don't really have that much power over what happens.

So much negativity around this team, we aren't like Wales getting blown away in every game, we are a close to everything clicking and we are only losing by small margins. But if we win this weekend everyone who has been scathing England to within an inch of their lives, will be singing there praises to the cowsheds and back.

Out of are starting XV who would you really change, we are picking pretty much the best personnel available.

Anyway I'm sure everyone on here would do a better job than any of the players or coaches.
