How much of that is tactics, coaching, game plan. Most prem sides have some form of identity. Even most international sides you have an idea of how they'll set up and play.Can't think of many other nations where players feel so overwhelmed by being in the national side. Most players step up internationally. At the moment it feels like most of ours step down.
With England they seem very reactive, as in we must play x,y,z against different teams. Struggling when teams do something different. We have no current defined style than just set up to be in the fight and try not to lose. Or the phrase I hate "stay in the arm wrestle"
