2024/25 Pool Draws

If the PRL and LNR had half as much power as the Irish think they do then the South African sides wouldn't be in Europe

Had they not changed the format and rewards system the Pro 12 would never have looked to SA.

Time to add SA to the common travel area. Who needs Schengen anyway.

If cost is that much of an issue surely then there must be an opportunity to partner with an airline & hotel group from a sponsorship point of view?

In URC we got Qatar Airways and it great. They were interested in Europe too but we're told no. Turkish Airlines were the preference but that was mess from start

Tbh the draws are ridiculous, but that's nothing new. Same happens in the WC. With basically the same teams and small number of groups there's a good chance of the same teams playing each other. Does make it rather boring though.

We're at home to Racing and Toulon, away to Glasgow and Stormers

Another away game in South Africa, what a joke

Sunday away game to Bristol to start is ****.

La Rochelle away also on a Sunday is doubly ****.

Is this really the best way to treat the second best team to ever do it?

Ye actually got rewarded by getting Bath at home. And a poor team like La Rochelle away.

We are away again to Northampton. We should be away but meh. Castres on a Friday night is a pain.
And 2 primetime slots for home games is great.

Sounds like Premier Sports are buying 50% of the broadcasting rights for European rugby after TNT spent all their funds on International rugby and EPCR weren't happy with their offer

Can you even get Premier Sports in the UK? Is it like Santander Sports (i.e. overly expensive, obscure, and on the brink of financial ruin)?

Back to sailing the seven seas it is

"What if we were to get significantly less money and bar non subscribers from seeing any games at all? Delightfully devilish, EPCR"

Premier Sports is for niche sports or niche competitions of popular ones. Club rugby seems to be falling into the latter which is ****.

At least we might only be a handful more heartbreaking final losses away from the tournament no longer existing.

Shouldn't have hard-balled TNT, they're much bigger/richer than the EPCR considering they have the weight of Discovery behind them - they don't need rugby, but EPCR need them

Considering the reports are all saying Premier are paying pennies on the dollar because TNT straight up walked away from negotiations I bet TNT offered better terms before EPCR came back wanting more

Haven't heard a story like that before...

Is it too early for a Heineken?

That's **** poor. No doubt the suit responsible for the botched negotiation will be getting a pay rise and a fat bonus.

Some perspective though. Premier sports now has NH rugby's three Premier club competitions in one place.
