Anyone know why Yarde disappeared for most of the last two years? I know his defensive positioning in NZ was shoddy, but he scored some great tries. Didn't seem in abysmal form for Quins last season either; he just disappeared from the England squad up until Denver. Seems a waste of one of the few powerful wingers in England.

Between him, Nowell, Roko, and (long shot) Benjamin, you'd think we could improve midfield carrying by adding a strong winger coming off Ford/Young's shoulder. Puts less pressure on 12/Manu to do all the hard yards.

So you'd dispense with May who's become a much better all round player, has worked out where the try line is and has the pace to scare anyone? To me it's AW to 15 with JM and AN Other on the wings, probably Roko.

The reasoning behind the two backlines you quoted is that you need physicality in there, but you might also want to have more of a playmaking centre partnership.


...Anyway... it seems as though Mallet has been approached and said he isn't interested.
They're definitely asking about, if that's the case.

I've said on another thread that we need a power winger, Roko or Yarde for me depending on early season form.

Yarde was a very slow starter at Quins. I think given the number of options, none of our wingers could really afford to be in poor form for more than a week or two without falling down the pecking order.

Apparently he's looking sharp in pre-season. I'm certain he'll be involved this year. Especially is the Roberts / Stanley midfield at Quins gives him the platform it should.

To me Eddie Jones would come IF Andrew was replaced.

I would imagine Eddie would want free rein. (Which he should get).

I wouldn't touch any English coach ATM thinking about it.

Farrell and Catt should go. Both got a lot of neg press around them. Especially disappointed in Catt if the alleged comments towards Cips are true.

Nope just that he wouldn't play Robshaw, IMO Eddie Jones and SCW would both be adamant they could pick who they want.
