No, just Russian soldiers who claim that gay sex is an act of enforced punshiment, not romantic or pleasurable.

Please note, the person making that claim was saying that Russian soldiers aren't gay, and aren't deriving pleasure from putting their penises in other men, or other mens penises inside themselves.
Putting your penis inside someone is either A] For romance B] For pleasure C] Rape - I'm not aware of any 4th option.

I'm putting that claim up here to laugh at the person's claim; not because "Russian men are gay rapists" - TBH, I don't even see how you can honestly reach that conclusion.

ETA: Let's be honest here, rape as punishment is far from unique to Russia, and far from unique to the current era; hell i'ts far from unique for humans. It's also far from unique to excuse homosexuality by claiming it to rape-punishment; it's just not better (than homosexuality) in any way, shape or form.

Why does that suprise you?

Kadyrov, Putin, senior politicians and religious figures in Russia all now pushing the 'Satanic' line in the past week. Seems they are importing their propaganda from Iran and not just the weaponry. So now it's a Holy War.... I mean a Holy Special Military Operation (you would never declare war on the forces of hell). Homosexuality and transgender issues are apparently the central pillars of this satanism.

On another forum I've had regular contact for years with a Russian guy who laps all of this up - its nothing new. Screaming about evil 'Anglo-Saxons', satanists, multiculturalism, gays, Nova-Russia and the importance of diverting millions of dollars so that Transnistria can have a football team in the Champions League. I suppose if you've been fed this sort of nonsense as a child and never left Russia and been exposed to different perspectives then believing this stuff becomes second nature. There is no limit to stupidity in a vacuum and in hindsight the Ukraine invasion was always a likely consequence of this sort of propaganda.

On the gay rape thing, the Russian posters won't have the slightest clue if this happens and should not be taken as a primary source. But they have to argue that if gay sex is happening in the armed forces then it must be punishment, because the alternative is to admit that there are gay men (i.e. satanists) in the Russian forces. It is the only 'logical' argument when you are in that headspace. 'Rape as punishment' hasn't been labelled a Nazi or Satanic practice, so its something these fanatics can be cool with as a theoretical concept.

The concern will be if we start to see propaganda connecting the anti-satanic Holy War to the requirement to use nukes. No sign of that so far although Kadyrov is saying Ukrainian settlements should be wiped off the map.

Just flicked on the Northern Ireland Assembly.

DUP saying they are being disrespected. Yeah cause your a bunch of *****.

Holding up the assembly over the NI Protocol no matter how flawed it is (like all of Brexit) is just them being shits.

They're looking ar what's going on in Westminster and think that direct rule from them is preferable to power share as the minority in a democratically elected government... essentially
so I could see why a Unionist would be upset with the NIP but it certainly seems they are using that as a pretext to just abandon doing their job
thanks for the explainer

At this stage they don't even try to hide their corruption and contempt for the British public.

The easing of gender self identification is going through parliament in Scotland just now. I didn't know Ireland reportedly streamlined the process back in 2015 and gets over 100 applications a year.

Seems very surprising given their tight abortion rules and I'd assume social/religious conservatism. Is it a bit of a non-issue over there? No tales of sexual offences in changing rooms etc?

The abortion referendum had a 66% majority. We're not really a socially conservative country anymore and considering no change was needed to the constitution for this change it was easy to pass. I'd say the majority born in the 80s and virtually everyone born in the 90s or later either has no religion or doesn't let religion affect their opinions on matters like this.

Why are they so bad at this? Like just be competent and wrong please.

I don't know how trustworthy this guy is, but people I do trust are retweeting him (dunno why it's being marked as sensitive - it's a graph on Excel!)

It's a 12 week limit in Ireland though compared to 24 weeks in most of UK??? I appreciate it's a different topic to transgender but if anyone in UK proposed restricting abortions to 12 weeks they would be considered very conservative (which is where I was coming from).

I don't disagree that Ireland's under 40s are probably no more socially conservative than its European neighbours. But I'm struggling to reconcile a country with a 12 week abortion limit with removal of medical expertise in determining someone's gender and leaving it to the individual's judgement (which appears to be what the BBC is claiming to be the case in Ireland).
