[2015 RWC] Quarter Final 2: New Zealand vs. France (17/10/2015)

I reckon its nothing but mind games aswell. Why wait until a WC has started every 4 years to start acting up like this? Its nothing but mind games imo.

But if its true questions need to be asked of Dusatoir's leadership.

His leadership is unquestionable. 2007 and 2011 (no coach) shows he is a fantastic leader of men, too inspiring maybe?

If he was that great they might of won something of significance between then and now? Im struggling to think of much they have achieved under Dusautoir....

Less than a handful of victories against higher ranked opposition.

He has had barnstorming games a handful of times sure but cant say iv seen any great leadership from him.

Around 2007 to 2009 he was obviously very good. Not hugely impressed by him now. When they toured here a couple years ago he was one of their better players but the rest of the team was utter crap and thats putting it mildly.

Dusatoir is a tackling machine. He was everywhere against Ireland and yet they got hammered.
Too often he is a player who has been left as the only one giving 100% in the French team.

I'm more interested to see what this Bernard Le Roux brings to the table?
I would have thought Nyanga would be the preferred option for speed to the breakdown?

if it is mind games it has always worked, but i can assure you all it is not, the boys have taken over and things will be different for the 1/4 final, i do know players in the camp and in communication with them................

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only in French rugby can this happen! LMFAO.

I don't feel there's anything the French are going to be able to do. Their biggest weapon would be for the All Blacks to underestimate them, but I seriously doubt that's going to happen. What's probably going to happen is that the French will underestimate the All Blacks.

If there's nothing the French are going to be able to do, how is it even possible to underestimate them?

Wonderful news that the inmates have taken over the asylum!!

Shame that it is too late......in 2011 it happened in the pool stages but here it is after the team has been selected for a QF!

PSA has been a joke as a manager and I include his time at Toulon and stand aghast every time I am reminded he won the H Cup with Sale!!

Blanco was a wonderful 15 and in the running as the greatest attacking full back ever.

However, this is a man who has brought a once great club to its knees financially and on the field whilst he sought a position of power in the FFR......a club that at the moment is seriously heading for the third division, a club that has seen a revolt by its own players leading to an unannounced change in coaching staff, a club that last night scored its fifth loss in five games!!

Bravo the players and Allez France!! Man the barricades for another noble defeat!!!

There isnt a team that underestimates the all blacks, not one...

Where's all the Kiwi's.....what do you think of the Haka's arrow formation? For me, it's too much, and not as effective. Hope they surprise us and do it the old way, what do you call the version with the thumb across the throat? Just love it.

I dunno why they're doing the arrow formation. Seems a bit dull.

I'm expecting Kapa o Panga to be performed against some (if not all) of the knock out opponents though.

Why? Out of curiosity. Why is it sometimes the Haka and others Kapa o Panga?

Haka is not actually called the Haka. Haka simply means 'war dance', or 'ceremonial war dance'. They can also be performed at other places other than war, conflicts etc. Like in funerals (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6Qtc_zlGhc) to give respect to people. The regular 'Haka' (war dance) is actually 'Ka Mate'. I don't know why they sometimes perform Kapa o Panga over Ka Mate, but I suspect it's when lots of respect is given to the opponents.

If (and I do mean *if*) the French are playing mind games then the ABs should do as well and use the haka as the last say in the lead up to kick off. If they can do exactly this they will turn the French off for sure;

It needs to be exactly that though. I just can't see the ABs managing to pull it off again.

I don't know if you watch the 6 Nations, but Dusautoir didn't play this well in any of the four last editions, he seems to peak every fours years (which is fine by me).
Le Roux brings energy, endurance and... nothing much else.
Nyanga is only there because he's a pal of Dusautoir, PSA doesn't like him, but I still think that he's most efficient off the bench, he can really add some valuable dynamism to our end game.

Is the haka going to be like the 2007 game ? The French were about 2 metres away from the all black's performing the haka , that was one of the best I've seen and made for a great atmosphere

Also can they just recruit piri weepu to command it! Now that would be something
