[2015 RWC] Pool D: Ireland vs. Canada (19/09/2015)

If Canada still has the massive beards then I will have to support them in this one, sorry lads.

No, it won't be a good game. It's going a onesided debacle. Canada have never been worse in my memory and we're fielding what has to be seen as a 2nd string forward pack. It'll be Ireland by at least 40 points. I'm just hoping the backs stay injury free and give us hope for Italy.

Canada did lose by 30 points to the USA in their last game so 40 points is a fair margin, I don't think that Ireland will try to increase that gap to the max though, they're going to sub in early to rest their key players and, anyway, point differentials don't matter in our group, only the Ireland-France game does.

This is where your wrong points matter and bonus points are factors too

No doubt Canada will lose today, of course. Would love for them to keep it respectable. They're my North American neighbors to the north and fellow tier 2 nation. :)

On one hand I like Ireland on the other my best mate is Canadian and it would be nice for him to cheer about something RWC wise...

The TSN guys talking like they know anything about rugby is hilarious.

Would love for Canada to win but I also would love to win the lottery.

I think there is more chance of me winning the lottery.

Seems they are expecting fisticuffs....going to be important for Ireland not to get drawn in; risk losing players to injury/bans etc.

TBH Ireland should walk this though? Right?

Hope we come out free flowing but clinical. Don't fall in to the trap of going side to side aimlessly or forcing the final pass.

I am genuinely considering punting my entire savings on all the games between a top 6 side and a Tier 2 game. Smells like free money.

Canada starting off with a bit of sevens play by the looks of it.

Nice to see them going all out.

Whether or not they can keep it up for 80 is another matter.

Is it bad that it's 6:35 a.m. and I've been drinking for 7 hours now?

I tried watching this on the Telly, having just watched Helens v Wigan playing rugby league, I was unable to get interested in this game, I cant help but think what a boring game union is compared to league.

Thanks for coming on here and telling us that.

Currently trying to get the BBC Radio commentary in sync with ITV player visuals....anything to get rid of the ITV audio.

"Hey fellas - here's a list of clichés and interesting words we want you to fit into the commentary today; Don't worry about being interesting, informative or knowledgeable....."
