[2015 RWC] Pool A: England vs. Wales (26/09/2015)

Why is Wales self-destructive? They build up a play, have a good chance and then somewhat some blockhead takes the ball and goes against five forwards without help.

It's a bit annoying.

Or missing a chance of a try, or a 22 drop out. Wrong attitude to have in the oppositions half mate.

The ABs take points when available . This is a tight game . You guys in the SH don't have the history we have . Do you understand what a drop goal means to Pete from Merthyr Tydfil with a thousand years of hate for England means ?!? Haha

Pretty awful half, ref giving everything to the taffs, however still more exciting than anything the Southern Hemisphere sides have put out this far, England scrum is immense...

I have just seen the half time replay of the throw in and have seen many, many worse than that not given! To my mind it went down the gap but on the English side as the catcher had to lean into get it. Nothing wrong there for the neutral with two eyes!!!

It wasn't straight but you are right, worse haven't been given.
I have a feeling the ref is tired of trying to get them to throw it in straight so it becomes a free for all.
England have had the rub of the green, how the Brown knock on was missed when the Biggar non knock on was blown up is part of the game, you have to dig deeper and go for the extra. Playing away from home is always harder and England have taken their chances and looked more dangerous, their forwards are doing better at the scrum as well.
Wales need to score first after half time or this game may well be over.

What about Lydiate not going to the bin ?

This is a fair comment. I think he did use one arm but not the other. One 50/50 decision just about saved Wales.

I just think on the whole, the rub of the green has gone England's way.

Looking forward to the second half.

Launch for Lawes at half time,
Slightly surprised at that, would've thought Launch would come on for Parling at 60, must be an injury

Which big useless 19 stone league convert bum-donkey will the country with over a million registered rugby union players be poaching next is the question on my mind.

Now I see why the scots want to be free...

They are free and they would be bankrupt had they voted for Independence with the SNP's plan to bankroll their economy with North Sea oil, what with the price crash. Anyway save this for the Political thread.

I'm 100% convinced now that Farrell has a nervous twitch when he kicks. Games starting to get away from Wales. A thumping is on the cards, they have no momentum.

England very impressive at the break down. They were very quick v Fiji, and looks like they've been working really hard on it in the build up.

(oh, can someone remind me how to block that idiot please? (kiwi))
