[2015 RWC] Pool A: England vs. Wales (26/09/2015)

The odds on Wales to win at 3-1 are ridiculous, this game should be so tight and there's nothing between these teams, either winning wouldn't be a shock. I don't usually bet but I'll bite at 3-1

England v Wales World Cup it doesn't get much bigger than this. I think we will employ a kick and chase game today , lots of Garry Owens I think we are superior under the high ball , biggar best have his kicking boots on

At least someone will be feeding our back three. :D

No thanks. Mike Brown and Watson are the most threatening men in the England line up. Brown is outstanding under the high ball. If we kick to him, then we are committing suicide.

For me, the game will be won at the breakdown and the scrum. In the last few games, whoever has edged these areas have gone on to win the game. Wales will play sensible rugby to start, looking for territory and will try to get Mike Brown to kick, rather than counter. If Wales can get a lot of ball, I hope they attack the Barritt-May channel and be sensible with the use of Jamie Roberts today. Smashing him against Burgess isn't the best plan with a whole tournament in mind.

I feel sick. Massive game. Can't wait for it!

Can imagine Chopper will be tracking Burgess, not Roberts, around in open play.

Currently doing some climbing in the North and the valley we're in has no TV signal. Persuaded my old man that him not drinking and driving us on the nearest big town to find a pub with a TV is a great bit of 'father-son bonding'.

England, you better win this thing...

Also a good way of him getting a say in which retirement home it is. I hear some of the ones in Bognos Regis are great for blackmailing the elderly.

I was thinking more of Jamie Roberts on an attacking inside ball running line. That switch is quite a common play for Wales and that'll be the Farrell-Burgess channel. Not sure we should be running Jamie into Burgess all day. We don't have enough cover!!

Lots of things could go wrong tonight..

Mostly, I pray Tom Youngs has been working at his set-piece, otherwise the game's lost already.

Wales :D Great game to come

Right I'm off round friends tonight during the game so won't be commenting. Just imagine me swearing every time we get turnedover or butcher decent attacking ball. I'm sure many English will be replicating my comments ;)

I will back Lancaster's selection and Robshaw will be Mom!

However, it will require some of the English team to play better than they have for a while (eg Cole and Marler for starters) to justify their selection.

Hope it is a decent game..........

Trust ITV to try and inject some diamante "glamour" into the programming!

It seems to me or all the ingoals are pretty smalls?

Absolutely tiny. Reduced by at least a third. Here everyone I want your input on my thread: http://www.therugbyforum.com/thread...ased-refereeing-in-World-Cup-knock-out-stages

What the FOOOOOOOOOOOOK! Tipuric isn't playing? He's superior to Warburton in nearly every way. These are ill tidings indeed for the Welsh. I foresee Sam the donkey Warburton conceding a few vital penalties and possibly a card. He is not in possession of the requisite intelligence levels to captain an international side. England will win by less than a converted try. The idiotic selections of RWC 2015 continue unabated it seems.

Add this lack of Tipuric to the leaving at home of Trinh-Duc, Trimble and Brussouw. So, so stupid. Hey who am I to second guess internation rugby coaches, but daaaaaamn!
