If Australia get an early try I could see this being the Brazil v Germany of the Rugby World Cup.

England have a haunted look around them, and I'm not sure they're psychologically up to it.

I can see the Auzzies putting a big score on England in the first half. England winning the second half by 2-3 points but nowhere near enough.

Excuses, self entitlement and puzzling arrogance is witnessed in a lot of English supporters and sport. Never understood it.

This English arrogance things really bugs me.

Just because we are daft enough each time our team enters a competition at any sport we believe and hope they can win it does not make us arrogant.

We've won a RWC, a football work cup, finished high on the medals tables in the last two Olympics, and currently hold the ashes. I think we have the right to be proud of our nations sporting achievement.

I'd also add that world wide we're ranked as the 2nd best nation in the world at sports.

Only USA is ranked higher world wide across all sports.

Re the Aussie thing... I love it when we beat the Aussies, best feeling, like it more than any other victory. Why? Because I have an immense amount of respect for the nation and their sporting teams.

And a football world cup. Wimbledon recently too, snooker, best at golf now.. Going off topic to prove to Kiwi we aren't that poop is like a russian proverb and olympics really. Nice to know people in other countries are always thinking of us, bless, brings a tear to the eye.

The iRB directive about red-carding pretty much anything near a spear tackle seems extreme. Even if we uphold the letter of that law, there is always going to be debate over the classification of Warburton's tackle between these two options:
"-The lifted player is dropped to the ground from a height with no regard to the
player’s safety. A red card should be issued for this type of tackle.

-For all other types of dangerous lifting tackles, it may be considered a penalty
or yellow card is sufficient"

Warburton seemed to let go of Clerc, but he brought him most of the way down, and had he not released I feel would have put unnecessary force driving through Clerc's upper-back/neck. It seemed to be an attempt to pull out. I would definitely have classed this as 'all other types of dangerous lifting tackles' and given a yellow card.

We also have to question whether an Irish referee with French connection was the right call for this match? You would have Nigel Owens refereeing a Welsh match at a World Cup, JMO .

Yeah OK you have done well at the last olympic games because it was in London and there has been a lot of funding (the pride of the country huh ! The return of the investment..lets wait for Rio to see where we are )..but do not get cocky..there is a lot of international sports where England is just non existing...and a lot of "sports" where England is fighting with itself...
