Being honest I was only repeating what the ref was saying. If you rewatch and listen to conversation with TMO the bounce is discussed. The cover was mentioned too I thought.

Actually looking at it again Jordan a bit further back than I thought and imo is never going to beat Nash to ball. If VdM can change direction and comfortably get to the ball before it goes dead then I think it's not one eyed to say that Nash would have probably got there as well. Remember that VdM no longer exists once he's committed the foul. I had actually given the ref the benefit of the doubt, thinking Jordan was closer, but I'm now not convinced tbh.

Maybe like I can see both sides of the argument. But that was the reason given it seemed from conversations with TMO at the time.
