Curry Tsukemen ramen. Came across this place in Kamakura. Looked like run by a husband and wife team. But could tell the curry sauce was home made - not from a stock cube. Came to 1000yen which is about a fiver.

Isn't it literally just changing what is added to what?

Yes. Can't say I noticed a huge difference.

Anyone a fan of the proper East London pie and mash? This one from F Cooke in Hoxton. Pies are Scottish beef mince filling, mash and parsley Liquor. But they do do vegetarian.

What did it look like before you ate it?
East Enders swear by it. TBF It tasted better than it looks. And I didn't order the jellied eels. Saw dust on the floor. A proper pie and mash establishment. Had a bowl of Ramen after as it wasn't enough.

Although I think the pub down the road from there skimmed my credit card. So won't be going back in a hurry.

It's the parsley liquor that makes it look unappetising. But it doesn't taste bad and apparently you're not supposed to order gravy as it's not traditional although I think some of the pie and mash shops do offer it.

Never actually had proper east end pie and mash - I'd like to but I really hate parsley sauce (on fish, at least)
