2013 Junior World Championship

Guys,

A friend of mine, living in Nantes, arranged tickets for SA-Wales!!! I just finished my night shift at work, will be picked up in 2 hours, sleep in the car on our way to Vannes and I will be at the game tonight!

@ Draggs: SA-Wales, you should be there as well man! Too bad you live in Canada ATM

Swiel will have competition at 15 with Appels and Cheslin Kolbe. I give you one guess who will be third choice at fullback at WP.
Make that 2nd choice as Mini Percy is going off to France with his new wife

Ah yeah forgot about Kolbe. With van den Heever possibly heading north, Aplon can chill on the wing for a bit more. Where is de Allende best off, centre or wing?
van Der Heever came from the North. Habana and Petersen leaving. Probably will free up a big amount of cash when Habana goes

Difficult to say. He certainly has the defensive capabilities and size for inside centre with decent pace but he has to work on his awareness IMO. He does have a nice pass but timing and awareness isn't at a good SR level yet IMO. He might end up on the wing though if you consider we are losing two outback players in Habana and Pietersen while JdV, JdJ, Brache and to lesser extents Howard and Du Plessis are his competition in the centers. That said if Jaco Taute stays on there will be heavy competition out wide as well with Taute and Aplon probable favorites which leaves a single wing spot (barring injury) for one of Kolbe and Van den Heever with Swiel that might end up battling for 10 or find himself on the bench as a utility player. Then there is Mbovane as well on the outskirts and I'm sure I'm forgetting someone. I think De Allende is very likely to wear a no22 jersey with everyone fit. 9 and 10 are the big problems for us as it has been for a while now. My assumptions; 11Kolbe, 12JdV, 13JdJ, 14Aplon, 15Taute, 22De Allende.

JP du Plessis is heading to France, so I would say to bring Howard through (or give him back ;) )
I think Jantjies and Taute will stay in WP. The Lions situation will be an issue for a while to come, so they would be better off just staying out of it.

You can have Dan Carter as you fly half they will still look crap with De Jongh as 12 and fetchers who can't fetch anything. Big bashers. Stormers pack have no balance

AC has spent the last two seasons twiddling his thumbs waiting for Schalk, occasionally shifting Deon Fourie around. Their best option is to bring Flouw back. Kolisi, Vermeulen, and Louw would be a pretty competitive back row. I think too much was expected from Elton, but I said a while back that he won't be the future Springbok standoff. Also need to look beyond Goosen for now, poor boet has awful injury luck.

Ja, we never did replace Flo or Watson as a true fetcher. Schalk is very limited in that regard. Jantjies can still work out for us but the dynamic/gameplan around him needs to change not the player. Bring in the new blood I say. Bosch, Sadie, Whitehead, Engelbrecht, now JP du Plessis (wasn't even aware he was set to push off)... we'll probably lose Brache and Howard soon. Oh, to support WP!

If the Kings get relegated I'm sure Luke would listen...

:p
Please no! The funny thing is WPRU gets in Michael Rhodes from the Lions while they have 2 perfectly good fetchers in Kriel and Minie even if these aren't out-and-out fetchers they're still way better on the floor than our boys. Or bring in Marnus Schoeman from the Griquas while he isn't getting a look-in from the Cheetahs!!

Jantjies is crap and overrated. He needs to go back to the Lions. Don't need him. Kolisi is not a 6 he is a seven. His ball hunting skills is not good,

Goosen is being rushed back hence reason why gets knocked up so quickly. Same thing goin to happen to Serfontein by the looks of things

:p
We are not that desperate

Almost a try. Nicely worked move there.

Jordan Williams is a silky runner. He beats a man so easily.

Welsh family originally from SA, I get the inevitable who are you supporting this week?

Baby Blacks :D

Well, actually I support all rugby, I like many Welsh and South African players. Sam Davies is a great project for Wales and Jan Serfontein for SA, like that old could be playing the Junior World Championship 2013. I also like Paul Jordaan but he already passed the age to play this tournament.

Regards

Both sides playing with some good intent, very enjoyable.
Hoping for good performances from Ungerer, du Preez, Ieuan Jones, Dixon, and Amos.

Baby Dragons forwards taking on and beating the SA forwards so far, excellent control in the scrum.

Gotta be honest, this is a great start by Wales. They are on top in the scrum and in defence. There's also been some encouraging signs in attack. Sam Davies is a reliable kicker as well. Gotta keep it going though, no lapses because this SA team are dangerous.

Outmuscling the Boks in forward play, totally. Handling biggest issue so far.
