In less than a year the Bulls coaching staff have turned a World beating side into losing against a bunch of sheep floggers.
COngratulations Wales. Well done. Great try from a knock on. But one needs a bit of luck in tournaments.
Certainly. Where do you see him playing duck? He plays at 10 week in week out for Llanelli, but he looks comfortable at fullback, countering from deep, and he could also slot in on the wing.
Its possibly a timely boost for the Scarlets after losing North, Fenby and Owen Williams, not to mention Priestland to injury as well.
Great result for the young lads there, beautiful chip kick and great pressure conversion.
Hate to say it but these lads would've done a better job in Japan.
I agree.............I meant it more like they "would've given a better account of themselves"Pretty much what Draggs says. There are fewer and fewer "running fly halves" and for 50% of the season in December-February period a fly half who controls the game is needed and you will not get chances like that to run, so unless he is a very adaptable player (ie unlike Hook) and has two different games, he would be better staying at full back where there are more chances and space to run. He could play 15 with Liam Williams 14, Kristian Phillips hasn't stepped up to this level and is not good enough to be a starter.
Let's not get carried away. The Wales squad selected was rubbish, but there is a difference between adult rugby and U20 rugby. Granted the U20's may have than some of the worst of the Wales squad like McCusker, Spratt, Prydie and Howells (who should have been here not in Japan).
But the Wales team in Japan would have large advantages, these players are raw and many are still a season or two from getting near first choice at regional level, some might never make it and all the team are far from peaking. The Wales team would have far too much experience than the U20's, and the forward pack would be all fully mature physically and used to higher level rugby, a front five from the U20's with barely 5 regional appearances between them would be no match for the Welsh front five in Japan. Most of these players aren't yet playing regional level for a reason, they aren't ready yet.
I agree.............I meant it more like they "would've given a better account of themselves"
The youngsters today seemed to possess that hunger that the guys in Japan seemed sadly lacking of.
And what are YOU? The poster boy for birth control?Yet the only player in the current team was Pollard...
Hmmm... Didn't know Du Preez, Kolbe, Senatla, Obi or Ungerer were Bulls players either. Grow up you ignorant ****!
Congrats Wales, deserved victors!
I'd argue that a hefty chunk of the U20's backline are better players than those who played in Japan, Biggar being the exception, although Sam Davies couldn't have done much more today. Ieuan Jones is another who I think is better than his equivalent.
How much do you consider a "hefty chunk"?
And what are YOU? The poster boy for birth control?
Whenever one presents you Bulls lot with an opinion that doesnt suit the Rugby Bible according to you you get defensive, and aggressive. I wonder why?
If you actually paid attention to rugby outside the gates of Loftus you would have noted firstly that the squad was already selected last year November with the trails. Secondly the highly successful SA Schools team who beat Wales, England, France etc and the 2011 SA schoools team.
Thirdly Du Preez, Kolbe, Senatla, Obi or Ungerer may not be Bulls players but Dries Swanepoel, Ruan Steenkamp, Jacques du Plessis, Roelof Smit, Dennis Visser, Irné Herbst and Andrew Beerwinkel are.
Most of these players were great performers for SA schools team. What practice or what rugby did most play? Beating up Amateur players in the Varsity cup. Pollard look great at 12 in it against amateurs and Bulls supporters said its professional rugby.
Then reality. It was a stupid idea to play such a talented lad who destroyed Wales on his own for SA schools and to go move him to 12. Like I told you in another post. Beating up amateur players accomplish nothing. Worst pack I have seen in ages from a SA team. They can't scrum, ruck or impose themselves. Kind of remind of the current Bulls scrum.
But hey keep telling yourself its a professional era, and wasting players on a bench or in a amateur tournament is clever. See where SA rugby goes. Already seen the demise of the Bulls scrum. Only thing saving them in Super Rugby is high altitude which give them a big advantage over the other teams.
You turned Pollard to crap. Turned Swanepoel to crap.
Good news for Sharks fans is that Brendan Venter is the assistant coach. So expect players playing out of position and no forward play next year.
No Plum and no alcohol at the Shark Tank .... horrible times ahead !!
Bulls have fckd up Pollard big time throwing huge money at the lightie to join HM's bull**** baffling brains Boks first choice nursery and then playing him out of position while feeling his ego profusely, showing again how they take good solid cape bred talents and Fckng them up with all this glory hallelujah biblical extension big bok bravado bull**** stories. If you have a problem with the manner in which professional clubs do their scouting, take it up with the clubs.
The guys you mentioned played well. So what are you trying to get at?
What's wrong with the current Bulls forward play? Have you actually seen the Super Rugby log?? They didn't get where they are by just playing with their backs!!
These youngsters chose themselves which club they wanted to represent, so just stop with the Bulls-slander tirade. Its old and stupid.
Dawie Theron and Brendon Venter has no affiliation with the Bulls, in fact they are from the CAPE!!! Griquas is in the Northern Cape and Venter was with the Stormers for a long time. Maybe there is something wrong with the poor cape coaches, like the current problem with Allistair Coetzee....
But that thought doesn't come to you because it's in your eyes irrelevant.
You rather go and say **** about the Bulls without proof, justification or conviction. But I have had enough of your crap now.
Baby Boks didn't deserve a win when 2 minutes out they thought they could coast through giving the Welsh fullback 3 missed tackles to setup the fly half popping the kick through for winning try.

He’s not half the player he was a year ago at age 17 now a year later it’s almost like he’s totally disillusioned and hardly the fck interested at playing that kak stupid no.12 role they’re trying to foist onto him.
As for that Adonis behemoth at no.7 another bloody Spies / Tarzan Potgieter clone all pumped up stereotypical steroid bloated puffed up pansy with fockol rugby grit to show for it.

The Du Preez Pollard combination bombed. Switching Pollard between 10 and 12 all season long and switching scrum halves every other game don’t do squat for anyone’s continued confidence. Pollard has lost all the bmt strength if purpose he had a year ago when still a school boy. Just like Hougaard, Sadie and a good few others Bulls have fckd up one more talented young rugby player turned into mediocrity.
They keep churning this garbage mediocrity out thinking they got some kind of pathetic home based rugby ‘family’ they can brainwash the kids into belief in.
