Your kidding yourself if you think that game doesn't look the same as Rugby 08
While it is their first union game, they made RL2 and RL3 which both looked relativley great but had terrible gameplay. So with RC looking as good
as it does its a fair concern to worry about it not meeting the same gameplay standard as 06/08 which were far from perfect but a lot
better that the league games.
If RC challenge plays half as good as it looks then it will be a classic. I just cant see Sidhe jumping from terrible gameplay (IMO) to great with
no steps in the middle.
I'm neither impressed or disappointed by the latest screenshots - they are nice, but not jaw dropping!
As many have said before, it's all about the gameplay and that is where the battle for the best rugby game will be won or lost.
Hopefully some actual video footage will be available soon and we can all have a better look at the game.

From NZ gamers preview it didnt suggest any problems with gameplay.
But i suppose they will be biased.
I guess we will see in august.
Its the only reason i bought my PS3 last week!
Ive been living off my xbox with all the rugby games, rugby league 3 on the wii, and pro rugby manager 2 on PC
Pro Rugby Manager 2 = Greatest Manager Game Ever! I got Leeds to win the Premiership, and signed Matt Dawson, Josh Lewsy and Freddy Michalak in the process. If only my dreams were reality!

I'm absolutely not saying this is definitely the case, but a smallish New Zealand game site that is given an exclusive look at a game like Rugby Challenge may wish to choose their words carefully when getting an opportunity to view games in advance from New Zealands only significant game developer.
As I always say Rugby Challenge or RWC 2011 could be an awesome game, or neither or both. It's far from decided at present.
All these people declaring victory for one over the other right now could end up right......... or sorely mistaken.
Actually heres a comment from the guy who wrote th article, posted in the comments section...

Even though some people seem to be reacting prematurely to HB's screenshots, I can't blame them too much. And I'm sure HB won't either. Screenshots and press releases are surely their opportunity to direct the impressions and dispositions of any potential customer. I don't think that RWC11 will be a bad game, in fact if it improves on rugby 08 at all it will be a very good game im sure, but nothing in any of HB's releases has given the people who flock to this forum for news much positive hope, and HB has not fully utilised releases to positively promote their product. The first two screenshots were inconclusive, the next 3 only slightly less so. And if I had to give an opinion, I'd probably agree that the players such as in the Wellington shot do look slightly like the headless chickens of 06/08.
So although I'm not part of the 'omgggz only 20 teams!?!!?' brigade, I can't completely blame them

I don't get some of you guys, the images indicate that HB haven't deviated too much from 08 but you still think that they would have invested in the gameplay?? Do you not see how retarded some of the player models look and how they for example all chase the ball like a school of tuna!! C'mon! This game will be a slight improvement on 08, not the jaw dropping improvement we all seek.

Thanks for your oh so sure conclusion, I love the way you say "The game WILL be this" and "The game WILL be that". You really made yourself look like a guy capable of balanced fair critical analysis when you used the word "retarded".

I will eat some humble pie and admit that these images look 100% better than the first images shown......which makes me slightly happier about the game 
Hey if I get proven wrong its a win for all of us!
Its funny how when you say something negative you get classed as a fanboy or you get shot down by one of the senior members. This is the only place where we get to see anything of this game as the HB website is a disgrace and they decided to use this as their medium. We seem to get more input from the RC team than we get from HB on this forum. I have no interest in going either way at this moment and will most probably get both. I just cant drop this feeling that HB has rehashed 08 and are out to make a quick buck. This is not just based on the screen shots but also on the absence of HB.
