Yet Another Exclusive - E3 Screenshots -RWC 2011

i dont see a ref
i dont see linesmen
i dont see a clock
i dont see a scoreboard
i dont see a replay hud
i see a screen shot of an angle we cant access in game, its not part of an intro pan, as the game is running in shots 1 and 3
i guess its hard to not assume alot of things because HB have been in recluse, when compared to the Sidhe "mobile phone forum chat" PR rampage on standby even when i am crossing the pacific in a boeing 747 - these guys dont sleep, and would post from another planet
I'm getting both on day dot, but i come to both forums to see how everyone else feels
I just hope both games are better than their previous projects respectively, and carry accurate leaderboards and smooth online play

Definitely better screens compared to the initial ones released, as said earlier - will be buying both games regardless on how the battle goes.

lol i hate being negative, I understand HB's position now to not give much away as they were mindful of this looking a lot like '08, which it does... not a really bad thing... lets wait and see how it interacts with the gamer... if that's the same then it's 08' world cup edition :p Rugby Challenge will be interesting I have to say, the models look impressive as well as their movement. I have seen the teaser trailer... hmmm nice :)

was the trailer any good?

My new biggest concern with ABRC is the big hush on forward play. It seems that it's add forwards and hope to win back the ball, if so I don't care how good the graphics are, forward play is 50% of rugby to me and that would be even worse than HB's previous very average (but at least there and something) efforts at forward play.

In previous Q & A 's at least HB HAVE SAID that forward and ruck play has been heavily looked at to try and improve it and create a contest. Sure they've only said they've tried, but that's better than an eerie silence.

Even in the Sidhe forums suggestions for rucks and breakdowns thread, there was far less feedback than usual on anything else, about what they thought about forward play. Either they have something great up their sleeve and just don't want HB to know, or there's something not too promising on the horizon for those wearing jersey's 1-8.

PLEASE someone from Sidhe prove me wrong.

since rugby challenge has licences to the allblacks and itm cup , does that include licences to stadiums? because.. eden park looks wrong in this game ,can tell by looking at the old terrace stand and then main grandstand.. so sorry

1 - 8 aren't needed Rugby Challenge will be a 7s game haha.

It looks ok but just seems like all the old demons from previous "attempts" at a proper rugby game keep haunting as. Crying shame really.

Thats's true but it just has that look already. I'm truly hoping I'm wrong of course. Doesn't look as good as Rugby Challenge though.

Haha, this is like one of the many times ive said this, but RC has all the NZ stadia licensing (names and likeness) so RWC really only has generic stadiums (although individual) for each town/city hosting world cup matches

Itl be funny if Rugby challange was good looking but the gameplay sucked, and RWC 2011 looked like ass but played awesome. :p

Its sad that some people are not given a chance on oppinion......honest oppinion(clear oppinion)

and some are......(senior members). What is different between a "junior member" and "senior member" besides the fact that they joined the forum ages ago?????? Are "senior members" game experts? Do they make games? just wondering...

I was giving oppinion, there are some guys using foul language....thats bad, not giving piece of mind..
Great forum....

I'd say it's more the fact alot of the "Senior" members joined long ago for Rugby and not for games, and the fact that Senior member means they usually have a high reputation like mine, the problem is that alot of the "junior" members have joined for information about the game and don't participate at all other than to whine about there not being enough information on it. This is after all called The Rugby Forum and not The Rugby Games forum.

This game looks like the union version of Rugby League Live. The same or worse than the ps2 versions...

Considering the graphics on the zoomed out shots look just as good as the zoomed out shots for fifa12 thats a bold statement to make

And some of us Juniors have been here for ages but don't post anything. I'm not sure how you get to the conclusion that you're not "given a chance on oppinion......honest oppinion(clear oppinion)".

TRF solely exists for people to express their opinions, and you have done so. I don't think anyone is in any doubt about what your opinion is.

That ^^^ is a bold statement to make, the Fifa 12 long shots still look miles better than RWC2011.

I also find it interesting that people think Rugby Challenge's gameplay won't be as good as RWC2011.
Just because they have no previous experience in rugby union games, they could have based their controls on rugby 06/08 for all we know!

Hope RWC2011 will be improved for release, if not im not too bothered.

2 Rugby games is better than none!
