Wales vs Argentina - 20/08/2011 - RWC Warm Up

Got dropped from the squad a week or two before the first England match, think he played against Lyon for the Ospreys the other day. With Henson likely to be ruled out, he could get called up. Still rate him, his defence is phenominal! Always thought a Bishop - Roberts midfield wouldn't be too shabby.

But it wont be very creative tbf, soild in defence but going forward?

Ahh, thanks for that, wondered what happened to him. As for the current centres, I think the best combo we had was going to be a Henson - Roberts, as long as Henson was playing well, even though I don't think Henson deserves a place due to his current issues. I shall not doubt the ways of Warren and co, I believe he has been holding a world cup winning game plan back for the past 2 years.

For me it's no less creative than a Davies - Roberts midfield. Think the only time they've played together was against Canada a few years back, remember Bishop putting Roberts through a hole to create a lovely length of the field try.

Wales are sure to come with the win after that display against England last week. Argentina had no test time and I'm almost certain Phelan has no clue which his starting XV will be come RWC. I haven't had the chance to see Tomas Vallejos(lock from Harlequins) in action but I've heard he's got some skill come breakdown. He was selected for the World Cup with no test under his belt. What do you reckon? Is he test material?

Word has it that that article put out about Peel being ruled out through injury is all made up, and Peel has said he's 100% fit for selection, but Wales told the media he isn't for whatever reason

Makes Rob Howley look a massive tool for saying he was injured last week. What is wrong with the Wales coaches, pretty much everyone in Wales knows Peel should be playing except them. Gatland's love affair with Phillips has gone on way too long. Moving to Sale has ruined Peel's international career

Aye - edited my original post with an article about it that's just come up (heard that 'rumour' before the article was posted)

Seems that Gatland isn't interested in Peel at all, which is a shame - I can understand where he's coming from wanting to use new talent like Tavis and Lloyd, but Peel still has a lot to offer, I feel

Um not sure if its true or not but apparently bbc news said that it was Shane on the Wing with North missing out?? anyone else see it?

Yer thought it might of been a mistake. My Dad saw it, he is getting on these days. Grey hairs and all that :p :p Got me exited for a second :p

Gatland is a mug for not looking to use Peel and Delve, how can a man come up with so many excuses to why Peel and Delve cannot play for Wales and yet constantly allow the likes of Powell and Phillips feature ... the mind boggles.

Also Argentina's team:

Argentina 15-Martin Rodriguez, 14-Horacio Agulla, 13-Marcelo Bosch, 12-Santiago Fernandez, 11-Gonzalo Camacho, 10-Felipe Contepomi (captain), 9-Nicolas Vergallo; 8-Juan Fernandez Lobbe, 7-Juan Manuel Leguizamon, 6-Julio Farias Cabello, 5-Patricio Albacete, 4-Manuel Carizza, 3-Juan Figallo, 2-Mario Ledesma, 1-Rodrigo Roncero.
Replacements: 16-Agustin Creevy, 17-Martin Scelzo, 18-Mariano Galarza, 19-Alejandro Campos, 20-Alfredo Lalanne, 21-Nicolas Sanchez, 22-Juan Imhoff.

Meant to ask anyone else going to this? thought I'd take advantage of the buy one get one free deal so bought tickets a while back :D

Also, very tidy looking Argentine side there, will be interesting to see how it plays.

Was meant to go with cyRil but likely playing in a pre-season game Saturday so its doubtful.

Fair dos that is impressive :p where to you parking in Cardiff though? Gonna have a fun time getting out of the city centre
Plenty of pints for me I think :D starting up my local pub with a couple of friends then catching the train in for the match. Also a wok to walk after the match, I LOVE that place!

Always found parking in Sophia Gardens will lead to a speedy getaway ... if not Greyfriars Car Park is also good.
