'Leading club in English Rugby'

Performance for two years yes but still that's insulting to half the premiership

Nick Kennedy has a meeting to become DoR of a French club sometime this week and had meetings with a couple Prem clubs last week

Wonder which prem clubs?

I think all the DOR/Head coach roles are taken next season so must be a assistant coach role.
TBH going to france could be a good move, it's done a few English coaches a bit of good going over there for a bit.

He mentioned how good a relationship he had with Richards so maybe newcastle? Honestly I would take him at Quins rn. Toulon maybe? He played with them a few years ago so the connection is there

The wheels are coming off the chariot now all right...

SARACENS, FRESH FROM seeing their hopes of a third successive Champions Cup ***le go up in smoke against Leinster, have suffered a second blow with news that the South Africans who own half the club want to sell.

Despite their European success in the past two seasons the club lost £2.74million (€3.12million) last year and £3.27m (€3.8million) the year before, and Johann Rupert told UK newspaper The Times it was time for him to sell up.

Nigel Wray to buy the shares.

I wouldn't call 100% ownership by him a good thing. The comic book magnate of (somewhere outside) north london.

Seeing it starkly in print that eleven out of the twelve AP clubs operated at a loss last year doesn't do much for my mojo.

Groom gone from saints back to SR with lions with immediate effect.

50% (£2.4M) increase in salary cap in 2 years seems to cover most of that.
Maybe just maybe, they shouldn't have voted for that if they couldn't afford it.

How?
By whom?

Did Cambridge Analytica get at all these shrinking violet millionaires?

Marquee players massively increased the payroll for the league. Especially the likes of Kurtley Beale on silly money.

It was rumoured that Craig was the main one to push for a second marquee player and bigger cap.

I thought it was fairly widely accepted that Sarries and Bath were caught cheating and told everyone that Salary caps are in fact illegal under EU law so any attempt to "punish" them would be met with a team of lawyers. They then came to the compromise of an increase in the cap, and both clubs giving some cash to either the other clubs or the PRL, and no points docking.
