Transfers rumours

I think Scarlets were close to signing the Namibian lock but WRU stopped it so I can imagine a few AP teams looking at him.

Would love Tigers to sign Goromaru @15, and play Manu @ 12 Tait @ 13.

But honestly he seems to have no English or very limited English and I just can't see us getting him.

IMO he will end up at Super rugby either with Sunwolves or maybe a super team with a Japanese team mate in.

Maybe Cips will have a word.

Ben Franks is not a marquee player for us. And James said he would love to comeback. Anyway looks like were getting another James. James Marshall from the canes

His scrummaging was brilliant isn't there abit of money in Romania? The other one that impressed me was Hearn from Canada

Hearn played well all tournament but is 30 already and is signed to Canada Sevens. I've always thought he should go over to Europe but I think he is focused on the Olympics.

Saulo is signed to Timisoara, not sure for how much but probably 40,000 to 50,000 Euros. I think the best player in the league is paid somewhere around that although I have heard 80,000 Euro thrown around as a number before. Would need a Romanian to confirm.

I think Saulo earns less than 40k euros at Timisoara, he was an unknown player when they've signed him. In an interview before the RWC, he said that he already had offers from Top 14 clubs but he wanted to stay another season at Timisoara. He said he was grateful to the club because they offered him his first professional contract and helped him improve his skills (he used to be a daily worker cutting sugarcane in Fiji before Timisoara's offer). No doubt he improved a lot by becoming a full-time pro and also due to the very competitive scrummaging in the Romanian league.

However, Saulo will surely get some big contract offers after impressing at the RWC and he might change his mind. He got a 10-week ban and can't play until January though.

No doubt Saulo's scrummaging improved immensely playing for Timisoara because as you say, the Romanian Superliga is pretty forward oriented. I have advocated trying to send some Canadian props there to learn a thing or two while making a bit of quid as well. Would definitely be an improvement to having them play Canadian beer league.

Not a bad idea although probably impractical for a number of reasons. Superliga wages aren't high and the life here is very different to Canada. A move to Romania is great for a very poor guy like Saulo was but a Canada part-time player surely earns more from his regular job than what he'd earn at a Superliga club.

I'd love us to play more tests against Canada though, at both senior and junior level. The playing styles are almost the perfect opposite and we can learn a lot from each other. We've won our latest matches but all of them were close, played to the last minute and could have gone either way.

Good bit of business, if true - looked handy for Canada, and the pundits were all singing his praises.

Few rumours going round twitter today than we may be signing Louis Picamoles as our second marquee signing.:eek::eek:

Kind of disappointed with Saracens lack of signings but I guess it's brilliant for the academy boys. Can any Stormers fans give me the low down on Michael Rhodes?

That would be awesome! Such a great player with the ability to play in Bath's style.

Rumours are Tigers have signed SBW for 2016/17 season after Olympics.

But then again we are rumoured to be in talks with Toomua and Nadolo.

Prob end up with Donald.

But I'm happy with Veainu and Djustice ATM there isn't many 12's on market this season I can wait.
