Transfers rumours

Maybe he's after Phil Godman, Oliver Tomaszcyzcyk, Will Welch and Alex Tait from Newcastle Falcons.

I mean, he's already had Tom May and Jonny Wilkinson - he obviously like ex-Falcons.

My god you cracked the Boudjellal code we must alert the authoritahs and the press.

Toulon do sign big names but the right big names. Someone like Nonu who doesn't turn up for his club side and only thinks of the all-blacks is not the sort of player Toulon would sign, SBW I think is kind of in the same boat, he does play well for club teams but it all has too be about him and Toulon have now got the reputation they don't just have to sign big names for the sake off it. I understand when they signed SBW at the beginning to try and bring in fans and other players too show they where serious but now they are 2 times winner of the HCup and possibly going to win the top 14. If I was to guess who he might have been talking about (after the RWC) could be Savea, just for 2 years like nonu and SBW; he also seems a bit brash and might like the Toulon famous life style, Carter, for reasons above including his age and place in the squad, Whitelock, same as Savea and is there weakest position, Woodcock, almost certain to give up intl' rugby after RWC and is the sort of player they like.

Selling Nonu short recently he has been great for the Blues and a key player in a team which has some positional issues.

It is true that he has played better recently for the blues, but I think that is more because the emergence of Saili and Crotty so he is actually trying to get into the all blacks on merit. After the world cup I expect that he will just go back to the same club nonu. Maybe i'm being unfair but like the last 4 or 5 years haven't shown anything else is likely to happen. Thinking of the Blues maybe Toulon will sign Kaino, they do struggle horribly in the back row.

Luke Arscott: Exeter Chiefs --> Bath

Ryan Caldwell: Bath --> Exeter Chiefs

Replacement for James Hanks - very solid rumour.
Good player, but next season he'd potentially be further down the pecking order, with Garvey possibly moving to lock and with Spencer returning.

Attwood > Hooper > Garvey > Day > Spencer/Caldwell > Ellis/Ewels (two promising England U20 lads)

Without naming any names MM, will Coughlan be working under an Irish coach by any chance next season?

Well the offer I know of is working for a Gordan Ramsey look-a-like ;)
However I know there's 2 or 3 contacts and all the money on offer is over double his current deal. We even waived the last year of his deal to allow him take it. He was contracted until 2015

It says something what a division 2 side in France can double what Munster are offering.

Not really. The club are making a big payday offer and Munster didn't need to offer anything he was contracted and isn't on huge provincial contract. Our backrow is so competitive next year that we owed it to Chucken to take this chance. Munster could've made money by getting his contract bought out but had that waived.
