Transfers rumours

Bit rich coming from Toulouse fan :p

Munster lost 2 semi finals by close margins.
Toulouse got 1 hell of a beaten in 2 QFs.

hey, easy on the word "rich" there, remember, you can't exactly afford it !...
And my heart, and soul, and most parts of my body belong to Castres. It's very strange you should mention Toulouse to me like they have any sort of emotional value to me.

Ye French change teams like there no tomorrow and it not about the money here :p

On Cawlin he's apparently off to Pau for two years of play followed by two years coaching. That's great for him, and he was always hugely underrated in my eyes. We always needed to shed weight in the back row and Copeland looks a clever signing now.

I believe we've more major trophies than Castres and are ranked higher in Europe ;)
It ain't how much you got but how you use it

nonsense. Castres; my blood, my flesh; has the Brennus. Munster never could achieve that, and never will achieve it. They're not even in France, ffs.

Note: not that it matters, but I love how you jumped from Toulouse to Castres when bringing up having more Heineken Cups ! :p Very slick move.

Ultimately I'm better than you because my dad can speak 5 languages, and my phallus possesses more length than yours. So I've already won this (time-worthy) highly intellectual arm-wrestle.

You were a test tube baby and I'm your father, now have some respect.
Also on topic, Munster have announced they have finished their signings for next season. Lets hope we have a centre who can step up or we're looking very weak there unless Smith comes good.

The Feel Bad transfer story of the Summer...

Talks happened but I'd stick no money on it going through.

Said it before but I seriously do not want Hogg. We need a quality back rower with Henderson most likely moving to the second row..

Brendon O'Connor would be good depth to replace Sean Doyle - but he's not the quality back row Ulster need. Winning trophies with Diack, Henry, Wilson and Fat Nick as our best 4 - with McComish, gods help us, as fifth - is not an easy proposition.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a different full-back instead though.

It's looks like the fullback signing will be either Ludik or Hogg and both those players will take up Ulsters last NIQ player, is O'connor irish qualified?

You want backrow? We have backrow. You give centre, yes?

Yeah he is I'm pretty sure, and I've heard the Ludik deal is pretty much dead.

This is the time when we need Ferris. We haven't needed him at all the last 2 seasons but it's starting to hurt now I feel, especially with an ageing back row.. would love to sign someone like Willem Alberts, as unlikely as it is.

I'll just have to wonder what Anscombe is smoking if Hogg deal goes through.

I could live with those 4 provided we don't get hit with too many injuries.. but we all know that won't happen with Ulster.

Believe he is.

Obvious solution, yup, so obviously it won't happen  I am anti-meddling but this really is a time when an IRFU person needs to sit down and explain the logic of the scenario to all involved.

Payne for Ruddock or Murphy would seem a fair swap.

Mindyou, I'd kill a man to get Alberts to Ravenhill.

Well quite. Only 4 back rows is suicide for most teams, nevermind Ulster's recent injury run! Tbh, I'd still want a top class back-row in there, like, say, Fez. Diack and Fat Nick wouldn't trouble the 23 for most big teams.

Crazy to think that somewhere in an alternate reality Ulster would have Ferris and Pollock as starting flankers with another 5 years left to go for them. Would put a hugely different complexion on things.

If Ferris is fit enough I still think we need another back row players to provide more cover as Henry, Henderson could be away with Ireland that leaves ferris, Wilson (who is 33), diack and Nick
