Transfers rumours

Wuss fans can be happier about getting Chris Brooker. Very happy in fact, was on the brink of England before his injury

He won't start as first choice, Worcester have already signed an even better hooker. Decent depth though with the player in question missing a percentage of the season.

Hadn't noticed them signing Creevy! That is a very good pair of signings, Brooker will keep Creevy on his toes and they should be able to rotate freely.

Yes. Worcester have made a few decent signings with Mieres (who never plays international) and Warwick coming in. Better than London Irish's recruitment.

I think JT might be a nice addition for wuss tbh its always nice to have a player that can play 3 positions to a decent standard, worcester are being renovated at the moment with new coaches coming etc next season could make or break the warriors.

Tyler Ardron from Canada has signed with a club, can't confirm which one at the moment though, whoever it is has got themselves a great player.

Per rugby-transferts.com - after hiring Bryan Habana, Toulon could strike a new blow and obtain the signature of a second Springbok star next season. Indeed, as reported in Midi Olympique , the club could recruit Bismarck Du Plessis.
The Sharks hooker (29 years, 35 caps), is considered one of the best hookers in the world and could join Toulon after the Four Nations tour in November. According to Midi Olympique the two parties are close to reaching an agreement.

Rumour mill over here is that Ardron has also signed with Ospreys!!! Not sure though of this, might be people have him confused with Hassler, if it is true the Ospreys have some decent scouts looking at Canada, and it's good to see they haven't given up on our boys after the O'Toole debacle.

Please tell me he is better than O'Toole.

He's a beast, he was player of the tournament at the ARC, is a solid player on the IRB 7's circuit. Was MOTM vs. the United States a couple of weeks ago, always excels at CRC and CDI level here.

I have no idea what happened to O'Toole, Osprey's fans I talked to said it seemed to be a fitness(possibly attitude as well) issue. He played fairly well for Brigend in his first couple of games and than dropped off massively, I heard his last game with them was a complete shocker and when he took a silly yellow card he didn't see the field again. He's dropped off for Canada as well, didn't get selected much for 7's this year and hasn't even joined the 15's tour side as of yet.

I've seen some Ospreys fans criticising the news of signing of Hassler based on him being the same nationality as O'Toole signing that didn't work out. Stupid to say the least, by that logic then they ought to stop signing New Zealanders as Nutbrown didn't work out as well.

Also I don't think there was much harm done in O'Toole. He hardly got a look in for most period as Tipuric really stepped up and Sam Lewis also emerged so he wasn't needed. Chauncey was probably cheap and on a 1 year deal and was not exactly somebody who the Ospreys laid their hopes for the season on, the only thing I remember him doing was messing up a try in a game that was already won. For example it isn't comparable to when the Blues signed Sam Norton-Knight to play fly half on a 3 year contract and he ended up behind Ceri Sweeney and Dai Flanagan.

If Ardron comes in, I really hope that means that Tom Smith is leaving. Most pointless re-signing I have seen. Been surplus to requirements with King getting more chances now. I suspect if Ardron it is signing then it is the Ospreys management thinking that King will be getting more international time this season.

-Sam Norton-Knight

No need to be worried about Tom Smith, I think you know how many matches he played this year.

Which makes the decision to bring him back all the more baffling. He' s 27 now, should have been shipped off to Gwent or a Championship side like 3 years ago when it was clear he wasn't good enough. Unfortunately he was a favourite of Scott Johnson who even made him captain a few times. It seems every player you get rid of to London Irish keeps coming back.

Tom Hicks (Northampton) ---> (Gloucester)

Know nothing about the guy. But Saints seem to be sad to see him go.

Lewis Tierney (Wigan/Billy Whizz' balls) ---> Union

Jason Robinson's eldest has just played his first senior Wigan game.

Give it a couple of years......

Not particularly to be honest. Very lanky young lock who I'm sure is a lovely guy, but has been in the senior academy for a couple of years and hasn't made the cut.
