Transfers rumours

*snip interesting stuff that he wouldn't mind taking up off topic

If we want to encourage entrepreneurs, then offer tax breaks for their companies, or even low cost loans or even grants for new businesses, or businesses looking to expand. Footballers who are on £100,000 a week salaries now pay £260,000 less in tax per annum, whilst tax for struggling lower income people has increased. Another reason I hate this f***ng government!

Sportsmen are one of the few industries where global movement really is a big genuine thing - more so than CEOs it seems. At the moment, rugby isn't quite high enough stakes for it to matter as much as some, but that extra 15k for the top players might make the difference between keeping them here and losing them to France or Japan.

Where these differences are really going to cut is in terms of what sugar daddies can put into a club though, assuming they're not in tax exile. Although it doesn't seem to be stopping Boudjellal... but these things certainly matter to the sport.

While I can't confirm where he actually stands, I know he wont be in the top 5 best paid in France next year. Oh, on that, you'll never guess who tops that list...

Well if Parisse not on big money yet some name there get alot more than their worth then maybe he'd leave but again if he were to leave Stade im sure Racing or someone in south of France would happily take him and give him a nice wage too.

John Barclay -> Scarlets

Edit. If true, great signing. However, what does this mean for Daniel Thomas? I suppose it'll give him a chance to learn from a better player than Jon Edwards.

Good news. The Scarlets will be boosted significantly with Barclay at 7 (have they finally realised that their tactic of 3 blindsides doesn't work?). Whilst they can ease in Dan Thomas to senior rugby whilst Barclay is on international duty. Also Thomas could be helped by being around a senior international player. Much like how Regan King helped Jonathan Davies, Marty Holah helped Tipuric, Contepomi helped Sexton etc...

Meanwhile. Michael Paterson of the Cardiff Blues has been linked with the Sale Sharks. He is also qualifying for Wales at the end of the season.

I don't get why Barclay would leave Glasgow only to end up in Scarlets. Glasgow have really got their house in order over the last few seasons, they could make an impact in Europe next year as long as they a decent group.

OK so April 20th is the day that Top 14 sides can announce their signings for next season and Sud Oeust (newspaper) states that Biarritz will finally announce their signings as follows (subject to final contract negotiations!!)...

Alexandre Menini (29, Mont-de-Marsan, loose head prop),
Joshua Furno (23 years, Narbonne 2nd Row),
Ueleni Fono (31 years, Agen Back row),
Dan Waenga (27 years, Hawkes Bay as Fly Half)
Paul Perez (27 years, Eastern Kings centre).

So Menini, Furno, Perez and Fono are direct replacements for Blaauw, Thion, Bosch and Lauret whilst Waenga is supposed to be the fly half we have been looking for, for several years and which Berquist failed to be through injury and a few unispired performances........and I feel that they are together not really very inspired lot or nearly enough to change very much in terms of BO's league position for next year. I hope to hell I am wrong........................

Aleki Lutui ----> Edinburgh spoke to the man himself at the end of the harlequins game and said he was going but no information has been released by the club yet. Would be really sad to see him go as he is in my opinion the best hooker wuss have ever had...

Jonathan Thomas ---> Stade Francais, Bayonne or a club in the Aviva Premiership
