Transfers rumours

Munster centre Danny Barnes ----> Newcastle Falcons
Thats his most likely destination. Speaking to 3 clubs though. Always a good player who I rated and between a mixture of injuries along with a problem that occurred off the field he wasn't given a clean shot after having terrific end to the season we won the Rabo

I forgot Danny Barnes existed - was a big fan of his when he first broke onto the scene for Munster.

Still is a good player and in my opinion improved as his defense has become solid and he always had the grit. This more for non-rugby reasons

Well hotel incident is stand out but there's been few issues and it might be a case of leaving for few years and then returning fully developed and better in general.

Like Mike Ross, Sean Cronin and Eoin Reddan?! It's something we hear a lot in Irish rugby; players moving on to gain experience and supposedly returning later. It rarely happens though. Once a player leaves the bosom of his home province there's no guarantee that he'll return once they come calling again.

@Feicarsinn
Ronaldson is certainly a talent who has slipped in under the radar. For his career, he's making a good decision in joining Connacht. At Leinster he'd be competing with a bunch of players around the same age who have been involved in that system for a few years. At Connacht he can step right in behind 30something Dan Parks and hope to start regularly in a year.

Agree Snoop with there been no guarantee of return. But he needs games and also he needs break from Munster.

Stephen Ferris -> Japan
^ is now a heavy rumor, which I'm very annoyed about even though he's only played 4 games this season. I'm surprised, the amount of treatment he's got and how Ulster have stuck with him being so injury prone and playing very few games.

Aparrently his new contract is centered on how much game time he gets, which he isn't happy about. He's expected to go to Japan for 1 year.

The ****ing size of him compared to those over there, he's going to rip **** up.

edit: I've only just heard about this so idk if you've been talking about it!

Yes, in the entire loose five forwards of the Japan team there is not one player under 6 foot 2 inches. Add to that the fact there are tons of Tongan/Samoan/New Zealand mercenaries over there (George Smith, Danie Rossouw, Kaino, Latu, Clever and previously Collins etc) then he will hardly have a giant advantage in terms of size.

He will have an advantage as he is an outstanding player who even top European teams struggle against and because the standard of the Japanese isn't as good, not because he'll necessarily be bigger.

This is damn near a banning offence.
I have heard it too :(

At least your defence will be better without Steffan Jones.

Steff is developing, he can be pretty decent at times.
I'd persist with Daniel Evans at standoff personally.
