Transfers rumours

Agreed on why although he'd see more game time here by a long shot and BG8 I agree it not very substantiated but it coming from various outlets not just 1. Hopefully I'll hear more at Musgrave from guys in the know

Won Supper Rugby in 2011 so not really bad at all.
It'll never be just about coach a lot depends on his back room staff and how he adapts to way Irish rugby players are managed re contracts, selection etc but he is a fine coach and I'd be happy with him IF Schmidt says no

And I've heard from real people in know there IS serious talks with both Fitz and McGrath. But despite it being reported online tonight the Fitz deal was signed today, I can say nothing is done

Yeah, I think Carter's just sick of playing for such a second rate club franchise, and wants to move to a club where the money is and which is regularly winning trophies.

By the way, don't go round telling everyone about this; it's currently a secret that only I know about.

Wasps do like signing fly halfs dont they haha if Carter does go there i cant see the fat man playing at all next season

Wasps might like another......Hook may be released by Perpignan who are facing a finacial crisis that may leave them some 500k euro short next season without H Cup rugby...............

Saints need another 10 and he would certainly fit with our love for mercurial (if sometimes a bit flakey) fly-halves.

Be good to see him linking up with George North at domestic level as well. ;)

Jamie Hagan to London Irish, should be confirmed soon.

Shame someone I'm really annoyed we haven't developed properly. Still only 25. Hopefully will be a good move for everyone Hagan moves hopefully starts getting regular gametime improving possibly doing a Mike Ross, Martin Moore and Tadgh Furlong get more experience and L.I. get another actual Irish player.

Feel sorry for him, fell away due to being getting caught behind Bent but is right to move as Leinster have options coming up behind him and as you pointed out he is still young especially in terms of prop. For what it worth I still think despite all the talk that Luke Fitz will stay at Leinster.

Disagree. Even before the signing of Bent it was apparent that Schmidt and co did not trust Hagan to be a serious replacement for Mike Ross. He was behind Nathan White too and was likely to do more than get in the way of Martin Moore and Tadgh Furlong.

We've got better prospect coming through, so I don't think it's a very big loss. Wish him all the best in the Premiership, hopefully he'll be a regular starter and be better for it.

I've always thought that Hagan was an okay prop who could hold his own, if not trouble the opposition. There have been worse props in Ireland given far more opportunities than him.

Yeah better than a number of them.

With his tranfer confirmed I hope I'm not reaching by saying the Fitzgerald one now looks unlikely.

Can anyone tell me how likely Hagan is to start for LI?

Well considering Corbs is leaving Irish and the fact the LIT management seem to be very happy about Hagan's signing I'd expect he'd be a contender to start. I don't really know how much depth Irish have in the front row though so I may be wrong.
