Hah, they'll blame it on Ukraine. Because they would really want to kill the guy who said the reasons given by the Kremlin for the invasion are a lie and it was all about stealing resources.

The man was a scumbag and its unclear if the fate of Ukraine would have been better if he had pushed on to Moscow with his coup (I suspect he couldn't because the Kremlin had intel about Surovikin being disloyal). Hopefully it means less messing about with African states by Russia, but I doubt that too as it is in their interest to try and create mass migrations to the EU and gain access to resources.

I would agree. The Polish government is completely unreliable and I think Putin will be happy enough if they win re-election again. However, it is worth mentioning as it is the official position of Polish government that Russia caused the crash.

What would he have done with Moscow if he had it? The FSB had reportedly taken his family, he had no means or support within the ruling elite. He wanted to try and oust his rivels in the Russian MOD not take the country

Maybe so but he must have realised that once he went down that road, it was all or nothing.
