The Ukraine War thread

Apparently the Chechens are being redeployed to try and take back the areas Wagner have taken over,
Putin says jump and Kadyrov says how high - despite agreeing with everything Wagner's leader was saying a few weeks ago

This can't be for anyone's benefit. These are true criminals (majority are from prisons) headed by an absolutely inadequate person (also an ex-prisoner, who,by sources I trust, poisoned Navalny). They have nothing to lose. If they get an access to the Russian nuclear potential... it's scary and very bad for all of us.
Yeah, see a lot of people cheering on a coup/civil war forgetting that the enemy of enemy is no more than my enemies enemy

Not something I had even thought of.
I preferred not thinking about it.

Prigozin and his "musicians" achieved consensus with Putin and his oligarchs,by rumours. Apparently, two gangs divided money, power etc etc and Prigozin is going back to Ukraine...wtf is going on
Upd: apparently it's true. Just listened an audio made by Prigozin. Putin calmed down his thug, with a help from Lukashenko, just curious what did he promise to him...

I wouldn't be surprised if he smelt his blood in the water and he just reminded Putin of his power I guess

Prigozin Never denounced Putin did he?

Either way good for Ukraine as no way the Russian troops will trust each other now

Putin has been severely embarrassed and made to look weak. I don't see how he and Prigozin can patch things up and go back to how it was. Prigozin has just demonstrated to the world that he could topple Moscow in 1-2 days if he wanted to.

One thing is for sure - someone is falling out of a window or getting a Novochok sandwich.

So they are now stopping and turning around to
Avoid bloodshed in Moscow. Not surprising really. It would be a suicide mission otherwise. Still, what this does now to the war is anyone's guess.

I heard they were actually in Moscow? Fog of war and all that

It looks like they reached Moscow Oblast, so within something like 150km, then turned around.

I can only think they expected more of the Russian military to join them, rather than just stand aside.

Jeff Prigozhin had better steer clear of windows for a while now - assuming the FSB will be that subtle in his case.

They stopped in Lipetsk, around 4 hours from Moscow. There were some militaries who joined them (some didn't).
I guess, the thug got more money from tsar (and apparently from Lukashenko) and calmed down.
Won't be surprised if Lukashenko will use Wagner in the future during next protests in Belarus (and to support his son, as there will be a new "royal dynasty" there 🤣)

I don't see Sergei Shoigu lasting
Well, "Shaman" is not a real military man (he's not Russian either). Just a Putin's friend. I doubt he had a huge respect in the Army anyway, to be honest...

Whole thing just weakens Putin further. He's really starting to look like the sick man of Europe.

Its pretty surprising yer man agreed to climb down.

Surely he knows that its only a matter of time before he catches a bullet or some rads from the "I can't believe its not the KGB" or whatever they are called these days.

As the old adage goes, when you go after the king, you best not miss.

He's pointed the rifle at Putin's head, then decided to drop it and walk away. You'd think his life expectancy is now measured in weeks.
