You guys are all talking (or rather typing I guess) out of your arses RE quota's;

The only thing there is an unofficial agreement that black players of EQUAL talent should get the nod ahead of others to promote transformation and the growth of the game in the 'previously' disadvantaged sector (which is still disadvantaged as a disadvantage simply doesn't just dissapear because you are now allowed to vote). A kind of gentleman's agreement if you will. No incentives, no penalties. Nothing OFFICIAL whatsoever.

When you have done with your posting for the day, I have this bridge I would like to sell you.

Dude, exactly who are you serving here when you deny this crap? Not the players, because the black players themselves have come out in protest against it. They want to be chosen on merit, not be some token. You are not serving our rugby, because this has done no favours from school boy level right the way through. You do the players we ignore no favours either!

Sorry dude, no go. Grow a pair of balls please, no one will call you a racist for acknowledging that this is a reality in our sports. It wont make you a bad person. Promise. Better an honest man than a liar, and better a fool than a fibber. Either you are a liar or a fool if you believ that rubbish

actually my friend the bee act is quite clear (i manage my own human equity specialist consultancy in joburg, so i know bee law). if you earn over 3 million a year you must abide by affirmitive action, or u, your suppliers, your clients or anyone associated with you will be shut out of the system and face penalties. so yes, there are quota to make sure i and my formerly-disadvantaged comrades are able to stand up on an equal footing. only when we are all equal can we begin to act like were all equal.

just becos in sport theres no OFFICIAL quota system doont mean its not there. i dont have an official snake in my house, but something is eating my chickens and its not the dogs, therefore the snake is there. the same applies in rugby my friend.

It exists in other sports and while I'm not saying there is nothing unofficial, the fact remains that in premier rugby there is nothing OFFICIAL.

Calling people mentally handicapped isn't exactly called for, i've been more than reasonable.

I am aware of your problems in the past. I just didn't realize the Sharks had a quota system which was why i asked. So far i'm not certain that is true. I have South Africans telling me all the time about how their sport is ruined by the government, unfortunately they never have any specific examples to give me in the super 15 either.

Not gonna get into this argument; been spoken about enough over the years. How does Borat know anything about South African Rugby...google, HA HA.Quota systems were only present at "National level" in the past; most have been killed off. I am only aware that the Quota system is present in Woman Sport, such as Hockey and Netball. Sharks have never had a qouta system...were the hell did you get that????

Qouta's are used to give equal opportunities; not to disadvantage or advantage anyone...At all Top Professional Sports the System is not official and does not effect the teams from performing at their best; but coaches and Selectors do select a player here and there by their own choice in order to represent our population as a whole and not allow a Sport to become labelled according to Race.

Just like HIV does not cause AIDS "OFFICIALLY" in South Africa?

You, as a South African, misrepresent challenges that face the sport you love in South Africa. You do the game a disservice, you do the players one too, and you do the game of rugby in South Africa no favours either.

Bad form Im afraid.

OMG, I broke SA rugby! I'll go kill myself. I was responding to a question asked by TNTT88 for documents. There exists none. At least none publicly though I expect there are some damning e-mails between sports ministers. I was not addressing you in the first place. Attention whore.

They do exist. Read the ANNUAL REPORTS that the likes of SARU and CSA release every single year. Policy is related to company by laws, much the same way Black Economic Empowerment and Affirmative Action is. Or are you going to deny that the existence of that too?

What sort of sports forum is this. Do you even like rugby, or were you just trying to find something in common with a few random strangers?

Sorry bru. You misinform people for god knows what reason and you do South African rugby and its players a disservice.

Here, a black player and a Springbok pleading 5 years ago already to please end the quota system

I guess he is imaging it too eh?

Whatever helps you sleep at night dude

Borat seems to know more about your Sharks players movement than you do...

Your comments again don't have any Justification...what are they based on??? They just seemed to be made up.

Who hurt you...you seem like a guy with a lot of unforgiveness, Seriously, take your stuff to a Phychologist or something; we can't satisfy/resolve ur issues.

Look bro, you seem like a nice guy. And I can accept that maybe you have not been confronted with this sort of crappy news all the time. Its hard in Durbs, you okes are like 6 months behind at the best of times.

I dont hate the Sharks simply because they are a team from Natal. I dont hate the quota system for no reason. I love the game of rugby, and I want to see rugby in South Africa live up to its potential. Before readmission, we dominated the sport and we should be dominating the sport now considering the talent pool we have.

Stop taking criticism of the Sharks personally. You should be as angry with them as I am because they have taken what should be the strongest union in the country, with the largest supporter base, and turn it into a machine that pumps out players and trophies.

But they dont, and they dont because guys like you eat their crap with a spoon and get upset when guys like me tell you to wake up.

Now step back for a minute and read through what I posted again. You have not countered much, you have rather tried to deflect those facts I raise by calling me a lunatic.

Thanks for being Honest...i don't agree with all that you have said, but i do agree that The Sharks should be winning more trophies and have more Boks; they have been underperforming for far too long. I just recently found out The Sharks don't make any use of a Mental Coach...there might be the problem, can't believe they don't have one.

still can't believe that the Sharks bottled the Super 14 final in 2007, François Steyn it was who missed a simple conversion that would of given the Sharks more than a converted try advantage, and won the tournament.

He also had an opportunity to kick the ball out when time was up; but he kicked it straight down Jaco van der westhiuzen's throut. It was the worst feeling sitting there...it felt like slow motion when i saw Habana go over. Bulls did play The ball illigally on the ground before that; right in front of the touchie...the fans went crazy, but nothing happened. For The Sharks it was like catching the fish and then while taking the hook off the fish gives a shake and lands back in the water.

Oohh, ooh!!!

Can I add one last thing on quotas?

My cousin was part of an athletics team from Umpumalanga 4-5 years ago, and they weren't allowed to compete at a tournament because...... ** Drum roll please**

There weren't enough white athletes

You've made a number of fair points in between the insults, sarcasm, theatrics and what not but I think you'd do well to be less confrontational about it though and consider that other's viewpoints might be valid. Like for instance if you have read something that goes against what someone else has said or know something others don't, maybe attach a link or whatever rather than go balls-out insulting people.

You seem like a passionate dude but seriously, the way you bring your points to the fore could do with a bit of common manners. Unless you gets that way then by all means, indulge yourself.

You don't do it any good either...your insulting posts and idiotic attitude are serving only to bring the south african posters (almost all of whom are good guys) into disrepute...its you who should be feeling embarrassed.

Well it seems as if the "good guys" here are "good guys" because none of them have actually bothered to speak frankly. I have been as critical of South African and Bok rugby as I have of anything. When you have nitwits on here denying the reality of quota systems or you have biased Sharks supporters putting forward the views of South Africans that are not held in the majority then its to be expected that eventually someone like me would come along. Some dude makes a valid post about the problems at the Sharks and everyone gets upset and calls it harsh. Maybe if the established "good guy" South African posters were a little more honest(knowledgeable) in their posting there would be no need for this sort of approach.

What next? TRF group hug sessions?

The only reason I registered was because the South African contributions were so terrible its not funny. They could not be more accommodating if they tried. I dont need anyone to like me or my posts, but if its going to get a few people to pull their head out of their arse then its a good thing.

Fact of the matter is something like the quota system robs not just South African rugby, it robs world rugby. I want to see the Springboks beat the BEST that NZ or Aus have to offer, and I am sure that anyone who beats the Springboks wants to feel like they have beaten the best that South Africa had to offer that day. Everyone has been denied that since 1996, and these ass kissing "Good guy South Africans" do everyone a disservice with their politically correct lying and misrepresentation of fact.

So excuse me for not wrapping everything up in cotton wool for you guys.
