Super Rugby: Crusaders v Blues

Nickdnz,

I implore you then to watch the game this thread is about.
Crockett was completely demolished at scrum time, and was often nose diving into the pitch.

I'm sorry, but as a front rower myself; I can see Crockett is an below average scrummager

Interesting the Crusaders have one of the best scrums in the competition then. I'm not basing my opinion of him on one game. Angus Ta'avao I do rate as the worst scrummaging TH in the NZ conference if not the competition (gets destroyed regularly) so I'm much more inclined to blame him for scrum collapses.

I forgot to add; I agree with what Graham Henry said about Crockett - the guy is a creampuff at scrum time (just like Jamie Mackintosh)

Perhaps you don't rate him, and nor does Ted, but Mike Cron rates him as among the best scrummaging Loosehead props in the country

I know who I believe!

I don't agree the Crusaders were poor though. I think that perhaps that's wishful thinking on your part.

Perhaps I wasn't clear. I was really talking about both teams having a poor attitude.

Perhaps you're right about Ta'avao (though I don't agree with you at all)
The difference between him and Crockett is that Ta'avao has only just cracked Super Rugby - he will improve.
But I reckon this is it for Crockett. I think he is probably as good as he is going to get.

I never said the Crusaders don't have a good scrum. I just don't think Crockett brings much to the party in that aspect.
