[RWC2019][Semi-Final 2] Wales vs. South Africa (27/10/2019)

If you're ever followed my posts I'm a chronic dyslexic I'm happy for you to take the **** out of my supposed disability as a near 60 year old it worries me not as school in 70s was far worse than keyboard warriors.

3AM thoughts:

I would love to face England in the final, that would be awesome
Seems white is the new black

As a neutral, I think SA will have too much power up front and more ingenuity behind the pack. Apart from Wyn Jones, I see little real talent in the Welsh front 5 and fear they may get steamrollered. Hope not. Would love to see an all NH final. Then seeing England beat all 3 major SH nations in 8 weeks would also be a unique experience. Would love to see Wales win it but not sure they have the talent.

It's that 3AM thing again the morning before a big Bokke game. Air is fresh outside, had some nice rain eventually. Only eight hours to go, think I'll re re re re watch 1995 & 2007 highlights again, might have missed something. Every hour I'll wear a different piece of Bok kit gathered over the years. No, it's not lonely at this hour, the voices, they speak to me

whatever happens tomorrow I expect the final to be very close.
That's what we kept saying about yesterday's game....

I'll be honest if and it's a fairly big if England play as well as they have done the past two weeks I can't see anyone beating them. The big if is England have proven time and again they'll play like that and be shite the next week.

Unless either team dispatches the other with ease today England will go into the final as favourites by a fair but not unsurmountable margin.

Whatever happens today I would say that both teams have had a good world cup. A semi final would be a par score for both teams.

May the best team win. Despite living in northern England I've spent more time in South Africa than Wales but have Welsh family. I think SA will have a bit too much for Wales and eventually grind them down. Wales I expect will be banged up after that France game. Navidi is a big loss, as is Williams. For Wales to win they'll have to get drawn into an arm wrestle with the SA pack contain them and keep the score board ticking over, I just dont see from they play or have beem playing offering a huge attacking threat the trouble the Boks.

I've not seen much of the South African attacking threat in the tournament against the tier 1 teams that I saw on the England tour. A couple of key player's form has also dropped off from where they were 9-12 months ago.

Will enjoy watching as a neutral.

After seeing Jonny may not be able to continue yesterday I have my fingers crossed JD is not going to suffer the same fate! Cumon Wales, huge task but huge opportunity

Whoever wins particularly if its Wales a days less recovery is disadvantage. If its Wales they'll have won every game like England, if it's SA you could say thats the price you pay for not winning your group......

I can't believe I am saying this, but come on Wales!! I want England to play and beat your Boyos in the final. About bloody time we made it a NH final!!!
