[RWC2019][Semi-Final 2] Wales vs. South Africa (27/10/2019)

Yeah it's been looking that way for a couple of years but it's at a world cup where that notion is properly put to the test.
If you win tomorrow or England win next week (and I wouldn't offer an even bet for one of those to happen) it'd be hard to argue against the NH being the stronger right now. NH team of the year two years in a row and all that!

It's going to be tough. No doubt about that. And England, Wales and SA are all using big forwards to physically overpower the opposition. It might not be pretty (to some) but it is effective.

Are Wales' forwards as big as SA's and England's? I thought their pack was a bit smaller. It certainly seems smaller and less intimidating than their 2011 pack, which was full of quality heavyweights.

This is just an observation from reading many comments and articles since the game this morning but the narrative everywhere is of an England Vs Wales final and how this massively favours Wales. I think the Boks will be very pleased to now be the ones under the radar. Just an observation, I hope thoughts of a final don't follow suite and creep into the Wales team.

Most people have said the boks are favourites. I think it's more that England vs Wales will have more history and rivalry than S.A will, so that's why people are talking about if it happens.

Wales may struggle due to injuries, Williams out is huge, glad to see JD back without him I would really wonder where the Welsh creativity would come from.

I was wondering if NZ being outclassed should make me re-evaluate picking the Boks as fairly comfortable victors here. But I still can't get my head to work out a way that Wales win this if the Boks execute okay and keep 15 men on the park.

Is Dan Biggar turning into a pansy ? Or is he already one? I'm watching Wales vs France again, and he acted like a soccer player, when he fell, when he kicked from his tryline in the first half.

The guys a warrior, much like a Owen Farrell is a warrior... go look at the way Farrell acted after getting a little push to the head today off Whitelock though. When I'd only seen the aftermath (before the replay) I thought he must've taken a knee drop to the head while lying at the base of the maul... but no he was milking it, like Biggar milks the odd hit. It's not the quality either of them are most proud of I'd imagine... but warriors nonetheless.

I do wonder how much more motivated Wales will be to win tomorrow to play England in the final. England winning today just gave all the Welsh players an extra 20%.

Yeah, ain't that the truth! Apparently they got on like a house on fire on the Lions tour, which I didn't see coming.

Build up starts at 7:30am so I'm getting up for 6am just to be sure... and still have time to cook a decent breakfast.
