RWC Semi Final: France - Wales (15-08-2011, 21:00)

Faletau was really good in Warburton's absence I thought. Fair play to him. I had always thought he was just living off Warburton up til this point but he really stood up... But I just still can't buy the hype surrounding him and Lydiate... Why are they suddenly this good now? why haven't they played like this before? they're part of a shocking Newport team that got pushed around in last year's Magenrs League. I'd worry that this was just a flash of form by both of them.

I just hope I see a good game of rugby next week bro.... and it will be better if australia is in it, cause I will surely win :p french aussie here

French Kiwi here lol

French on my mothers side, Kiwi on my Dad's.

But go France then go kiwis lol

p.s living in Australia as well hahah so i can't lose :)

Just want to say 1 last thing to the Welsh. Ye were extremely gracious winners last week and well I'd urge ye to be same this weekend. Yes the result went against ye but be proud as ye had a wonderful tournament (not over yet) and regardless of result are considered 1 of best over there and well can come back extremely proud.

These comment's really **** me.

Hey they didn't do it pretty, they haven't play well this competition but seriously I'm sure every single other team who has been knocked out would have loved to play poorly and make the final.

This is a French team who finished second in the six nations this year, won the Grandslam the previous year and also beat New Zealand in New Zealand last year.

Im with you on that. France have been way under the radar for obvious reason but I hate it when I read stuff like this. Hopefully the reality is that the final is being played next week thanks f*&^%....
Anyway aller les bleus, go you mighty wallabies and see you next week! brave wales deserved kudos too they were brilliant this cup around :)

One's 23, one's just turned 20. Not like they've been around since the dawn of time like players like David Wallace, who I didn't even realise was a rugby player until he was 33! ;)

Whatever the laws say: I'm disappointed that that tackle could even be constituted as a red. It started out as a great forward-on-back tackle - the problem happened because as Warburton tackled around the hips, he essentially created a pivot there, and when he put pressure above the pivot in order to create some forward ball, Clerc's legs came high in the air. At that point, it's damned if you do, damned if you don't. Complete the tackle and it's spearing into the ground, pull out of the tackle and it's not bringing a player down to the ground. Not much Warburton could have done.

Poor teams can't have good players? Kurtley Beale could have been playing for Newport and they still wouldn't have bullied other teams. Rugby isn't about having one-or-two good players - it's a team effort, and it might just be that Faletau and Lydiate are two amazing players in a team without players on their level of ability. Lydiate has shown quality for a while for Wales now (his development hasn't been as fast as Warburton's, mind) and Faletau has only just come into the team.

He could have tackled him like any of the other 140+ legal tackles in the game ;)

The Irish have some great players as do the Scottish, but Wales and England are so ordinary.

Im sorry but I stopped taking you serious after that. And then that, Wales outplayed a french team with a man down, and everybody is saying they should've won. Wales is far from ordinary,

This could be the worst team ever to get to a RWC final?

Or hair gel!

"Gavin who? ...ohh the unemployed dancer? " :p

9/8: The Red devil were really Red Devil, Wales was unlucky and full with talent and courage. They merited to win the match. As french supporter I 'm almost ashamed the way we win (dans un mouchoir de poche) in another way I'm happy after be afraid by 14 welsh warriors.
When I was younger and watching the four Nation tournament on my black and white TV, Wales was my favourite team like Brazil in football.... after France.
Wales are Back! and well. But sorry:
Vive la France. Thank you for the spectacle.
Que le spectacle continue et que le meilleur gagne!
Rugby for ever
Un supporter français. Sorry for the english.
