Australia has now won something like 7 out of the last 8 against the springboks. It is pretty clear that Australia is a better team and deserve to be in the semis.

In suspect you are also a little annoyed that this now means that Australia are indisputably the best team in world cup history and SA will be at best ranked 5th.

one of our local online news sites had an article about the response of old Springboks, Rugby Analysts and some fans and it's quite interesting, I'll see if I can find it again as I read it last night on my brother's phone...

Apparently on Facebook a group has been created as a petition to the IRB for more stricter punishment to referee's who performed poorly, as this wasn't the first high-profile game this year where Bryce Lawrence had a shocker.

One of the old Springboks (can't remember his name) said that at one stage he thought the referee was from the NH as he clearly didn't apply the Daylight rule that was so much drilled into the SH players and Refs during the Super 15.

Breyton Paulse said last night that he felt so sorry for the old guns who are now retiring to go out in that manner, He said guys like John Smit, Fourie Du Preez and Victor Matfield didn't do anything wrong in the game and to give your all in maybe your last game and not come out victorious is very sad. But what angered him was how much both John Smit and Victor Matfield talked to Bryce Lawrence and then he did nothing about it.

Our Beloved bokke will be home today at about 16:10 this afternoon and there will be a very warm response for them!

They did us very proud and once again showed that there is absolutely nothing wrong in how we play rugby and that our traditions will remain in tact!

Ok, So I have had time to calm down. Firstly, Congrats to Australia. It's not your fault that Bryce is an incompetent ref.

But the IRB has to do something with the standard of referee's. Bryce was ****ing useless and allowed you lot to get away with murder, though, you can't be faulted. If the ref told you to toe the line, I am sure you would have. The fact remains that Bryce ****ed up.

If NZ win this weekend and go all the way we will have a strong claim to that ***le! No point in debating it yet though, will see in two weeks time or next weekend maybe.

I don't understand the whole idea of referee vengeance. 'THEY MUST PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKES, THIS IS SPAAAAAARRRRRTAAAAAA!!'.

If anything, we should simply be giving the IRB referee's board more resources to improve their standards.

Agreed, People are just frustrated and this is just another way to blow off some steam...

Congrats Oz! was a very weird game!

Can see on facebook how the people reacted against Lawrence, wasn't he also the ref the previous time we played each other in Durban when we also lost.

We can ***** and moan all we want, it's not going to change anything... (Tell that to Samoa)
