RBS 6 Nations - Ireland vs Wales - (05/02/2012 -15:00)

whats annoying is that going into this game kidney said ireland had been looking at better attacking play, where was it?, mcfadden did well though, sexton kicked too much that last penalty he attempted should have gone to the corner to buy time

Anyone think Ryan made big impact on game for Ireland and well Ireland management need to now realise 2 things.
1. Pick players on form
2. Use a gameplan that get best out of players eg Leinster backs aren't on form playing territory game.

Once again, the Irish posters here are gracious in defeat. Awesome to see, because I know how easy it is to just complain about a dodgy refereeing decision.

IMO not a penalty, but the fact that we let them come back when we were on top is more worrying. Booing... well all of them can go back to ****ing soccer shameful.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense it's 1am here

Pleased with the win and for the lads to pull through, but I suppose we will always say 'what if' like last year. The card results were both arguable but that is done.
Stupid kicking and decision making shouldn't be ignored.
Ryan to 4 next week I imagine, Shingler to 6 and Tipuric to 7

I thought Ireland's attack was a lot better than it's been previously, but its still very reliant on the forwards creating go forwards ball, and still very lateral. I don't think I saw a forward/wing coming off a short line from a centre once either. Think Ireland desperately need a 12 who poses a threat once his outside man's been cut off. They also need someone who's not a midget in the midfield - can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm genuinely half-thinking they should consider moving Trimble in.

Wow thanks Ireland and Wales; thats exactly why this fixture is my favourite. Very harsh on ferris and ireland but then Wales had missed more kicks and perhaps overall deserved it more as people have said.

I think its becoming problematic the pressure put on referees to be firm in the tip tackle area of the game; its hard to referee those situations precisely and too much hqngs on them considering the intensity of the situation from the players point of view. I know how dqngerous those tqckles cqn be but i just feel the refereeing of them needs to be calmed down a bit.

As for the booing, I was impressed earlier in the game when kicks werent being booed: whereas murrayfield booed all day long during kicks which was bloody annoying.

Yup, he was good when he came on, as was expected. He's a better player than DOC, who probably shouldn't have been in the squad today.

Anyway, I'll probably post some whingey analysis later. Poo.

In fairness Wales beat us fairly but in my opinion I thought Barnes had a very good game. Maybe Davies offense was a red but he went to his touch judge and acted correctly and showed consistency with Ferris call.
Again congratulations to Wales who lets not forget also out scored us in tries 3-2

Right I'm off to drown my sorrows, well played Wales, hope you win the thing now. On a positive note if we lose a few more Kidney should get the boot.

Kidney out. We can talk all we like about tip tackles and the like, but this game was lost tactically. Who's idea was it to kick all that ball away?

The worst thing is that I'm not even mad. It's gotten to the stage where I'm incredibly apathetic about the national team.

This, especially the latter bit. But especially the early bit. But ESPECIALLY the latter bit.

What the hell were we doing out there today? I'd like to see stats on the amount of Garryowen's we kicked today.

On Wales, Tipuric was an absolute beast when he came on. I actually thought he was better than Warburton today.

George North must also get a special mention. He's quickly turning into one of the best wingers in the world.
Well done Wales. you have a cracking back line.
We need to seriously look at out tactics and defence. At times it was far too easy for Wales.

****ing BBC fishing for a sound bite. That stupid bimbo is determined first to get Warburton and then Kidney to say "Davies should have had a red".

Shitehawk, lowlife, tabloid organisation.

Just regards the Kidney Out calls unless he get Lions job the IRFU won't pay off his contract so it unlikely he will leave before 2013 ends

nice of you but... a wee bit early non?

Maybe, but Wales have always been a momentum side. They have a habit of getting better as the tournament goes on if they can get off to a good start. They've got France at home and England away, two fixtures that'll hold no fear to them. They'd be my tournament favourites after getting a result today.

Didn't he only get a one year extension shouldn't he be out in august-ish?
