Which is really irrelevant in this case, yet again more MSM trying to somehow link this to gun control. I have enough guns to start a reasonable Coup D'Etat in a Third World Country but you don't see me going out and capping the Misses when I get upset. This is a tragedy and I am sure the truth will come out very shortly, until then my condolences to the family of the deceased.

I've read so many different things on this topic, best wait until the news comes out. He is a bit of a gun nut from what I've read though.

It's like that in most Non-Western Countries. I did some security work in Jamaica which is right up there with South Africa for violent crime (Kingston averages one murder every 6 hours) and everyone is tooled up hard. The funny thing is in most of these countries gun control is extremely strict but totally ineffective due to the proliferation of black market firearms. Guys I did some work with down in the Caribbean were all packing Glock's and M4's and the occasional AK47 (many of which were illegally brought in from Haiti and Central America)

So i'm not suing that people shouldn't have guns, obviously if you need it for your own safety you should be able to get one but not everyone with a gun will be that comfortable with it I wouldn't think, maybe I'm wrong there's not too much trouble with guns in Ireland and I've only ever seen one but that tweet doesn't strike me as "normal".

From what I gather this is a dude who lives for thrills, hence the whole drunken speedboating incident a little while ago. If you have ever shot a firearm before it can be exhilarating at first and you can feel the power every time you pull the trigger. I am certainly hoping this is some sort of accident for his sake; however, if it isn't he will just join the long line of dudes that off'ed their significant others.

Well the MSM is looking for any reason to jump all over any guy that enjoys shooting guns, it doesn`t fit into their `New World Order` viewpoint

I really don't mean anything by the tweet apart from that he is obviously skilled with a fire arm beyond the point of an average gun owner.

Terrible terrible news.

When we were dropping off a friend last night she just got a txt to say that Pistorious shot her gf mistakenly (for a burglary). Only to wake up this morning to the news to suggest that it was more than that.

It will be interesting to see how things unfold.

The police said in a briefing that they have ruled out the possibility that he had mistaken her for a burglar. the Forensic unit was busy at his house until late last night and a police vehicle was still seen at his house this morning.
