1. the props are the wrong way round
2. Haskell is unavailable
3. Mike Brown ahead of Foden, he is on good form but Foden one of Europe's best
4. Sheridan is injured
5. Deacon?
6. Hape?
7. Narraway?
8. no Danny Care?

good call on Miles Benjamin though, I think if he moved to a team which created more chances he would get more recognition

I would go with:

15. Foden
14. Ashton
13. Trinder
12. Tuilagi
11. Benjamin
10. Flood
9. Youngs
1. Corbisiero
2. Gray
3. Cole
4. Lawes
5. Palmer
6. Robshaw
7. Wood
8. Croft / Easter / Waldrom

Yup, and I've bolded Hape for emphasis!

Handy he'll be playing somewhere in the East Midlands next season (apparently).

Anyone else like to see foden and brown included together? Foden at 13? Wing? Especially as Manu may be out with a hamstring. Cashton (saw it used, loved it) may not get any game time before the six nations. Also what do people think about Charlie hodgson? Were going on about him on the rugby club and he is still a sublime distributor, just need farrell at 12 to kick goals.

If Foden can genuinely play 13 or wing, then yes.

As I suspect he can't, no.

So now England finally have something resembling a decent 13 in the shape of Tuilagi, a good idea now is to play Foden out of position and shoe-horn Brown in?

As i said Tuilagi might have torn a hamstring, so would be out. Also could put Tuilagi at 12. Cheers for the input tho.

Not sure when Allen's back, may not get any game time before the EPS is named - however still leaves Barritt, Twelvetrees, Trinder if Tuilagi is out.
Not sure why anyone would ever consider Foden or 13...

He isn't a 13 and hasn't played 13.
Why play him at 13 when already have 13s who can play there?
Keep him at 15, with Brown pressuring him for a spot, it'll force both players to play better to try and outdo the other one (don't think it's a coincidence that Armitage started playing better after Foden cemented the 15 shirt as his).

Y not? Too outside the box for English rugby? He has the ability.

I personally think it is a marvelous idea to play fullbacks out of position at 13.... it worked brilliantly for New Zealand at the '99, '03, and '07 rugby world cups.... ;)

While we're at it, we should put Lawes in the back row, Tindall at openside and Balshaw at standoff.

When you have (by a considerable margin) your best player, who is easily in the top 3 players in the world for his specialist position and and presently having an outstanding run of form, you don't shoehorn in him into an unfamiliar shirt just to accommodate a pretty normal player ability wise who's had a brief purple patch (I.E. Brown).

It's not "thinking outside the box". It's just stupid.

Really good points there, completely changed my mind with your ability to construct a coherent, reasoned argument.

My apologies, I couldn't hear the discussion about rugby over the sarcastic abuse. Try again old boy.

Just waiting for someone to give me an actual reason. Not just say no. Brown is playing very well at the moment and does not need to be 'shoehorned' in

I agree with stus.

Just try out Foden for the opening game, if he is poop, revert him back. He might end up being the next, you kow, that guy who played for England.
