Who cares, there's no justification for stuff like that on the rugby field.
regardless of whether it was out of character and just frustration, that still doesn't excuse it, he'll probably be given a 6 week ban and he'll be back for the Autumn Internationals, at this stage of his career he doesn't need a club game to be ready for a test match.
I still don't know what I'm more surprised at; the fact that Hayes was sent off or that we nilled Munster.[/b]

Now to go out and get drunk....life is good when one turns 18/[/b]
Dont make the mistake of comparing an away win to Edinburgh to a home match vs Munster. Two totally different Leinster performances.Anyway, Munster just got destroyed. Leinster only just managed to scrape Edinburgh last week... doesn't bode well for Munster's season.[/b]

I disagree entirely. Hayes had two goes at Healy's head. He looked down and knew precisely what he was doing. His previous record will count in his favour (unlike, say, Quinlan) but he deserves a ban. Also on the Bull's case. Think he shouldn't be banned on basis he is a gentleman off field, rarely in trouble with a ref in all his time playing and he was not the only player comitting the foul.[/b]
Even thou they got a hiding I like Munster because they got heaps of Kiwis in there.[/b]
It's going to be an Irish disciplinary panel, no? He'll probably get a token one or two week ban and be back well in time for the November internationals. Which actually is a convenient segway into a question of mine: Why are they called the Autumn internationals when they take place in winter? Always wondered that.[/b]

Oh, and Jeand de Who-lliers?[/b]
"IRFU know also if he isn't banned there won't be any major problems as Ireland NEED JOHN HAYES AND LEINSTER UNION WONT BE COMPLAINING THAT WHAT I'VE BEEN TOLD."
And that sums up just about every problem and every ounce of corruption in rugby today...[/b]
