[June Tests 2018: 1st Test] South Africa vs. England (09/06/2018)

Whose the pundit on the left of the screen?

"The Springboks will have been told to get their first hits in, even if it's really really really late?"

"He's like a comfort blanket"

Does he know anything about rugby, or is he just saying random sentences together and hoping they makes sense?

World Cup winner Will Greenwood?

Not sure what's wrong with either of comments?

Are you watching Sky Sports?

If so, far left is Will Greenwood.

You seriously asking if Will Greenwood knows anything about Rugby?

I'm expecting a big game from Isiekwe. He has every chance of starting come the RWC if he puts in some big shifts in between now and then.

I mean Victor Matfield is a World Cup winner, but wow is he a terrible pundit. First comment is baseless and second one is Bob Skinstad level.

My first exposure to him as a pundit and I judged his analysis on his opening three sentences like any good internet user. To be fair to him, he did give some decent insight into English plays off the scrum and lineout. I think his opening comment just put me off him immediately.

Greenwood is a great pundit IMO, he certainly has his own style, he's also a pretty good coach looking at how he has done with the baabaas

It's a SA stereotype which TBF you have sort of earned which I'm sure he experienced in his games v SA.

Tim Currys promotional photos made him look like he should still be in school not playing openside for England.

Pretty much every team team is told to make a big impression at the beggining of the game - he's not suggesting they're dirty, just physical.

Billy Vunipola will inspire confidence for the England side, describing him as a comfort blanket is a perfectly reasonable thing to do. He is.

He's spent too much time with Scott Quinnell.

Hitting very very very late? With Mohoje if you said hit high, fully with you on that, but in the last decade I wouldn't say hitting late is our thing, just generally overly-aggressive locks.

I can see why it would look like a cheap shot but he's genuinely old school and respects the old South African physicality, he wasn't being critical.

Fair point, will reserve further judgement to halftime analysis

Greenwood has been like that for as long as I can remember.

Both very passionate about everything rugby so not a bad thing. (The school of hard knocks was a good watch).

I enjoy their enthusiasm. They seem to have rubbed off on each other over the years though.
