[June Tests 2018: 1st Test] South Africa vs. England (09/06/2018)

It has been 17 years since any country other than New Zealand has beat the Springboks at Ellis park. In 2001 France beat the Springboks here and they are the only other country to have beaten SA at this ground. Yet the springboks have been setting all kinds of negative records in the last two years so never say never! And if one coach can do it then it would be EJ.

SA by 1.... low scoring , 15-14 or something like that
There has not been a low scoring game at this venue since 1995 when the Springboks beat the All Blacks in the world cup final. Thats 23 years since both sides at this ground were kept below 20 points. Otherwise in just about every game either both sides reach the 30s or atleast one side did.

Here is the past results at the ground (Though you will have to look inbetween the other results also): http://www.sarugby.co.za/results.aspx?leagueid=1&fullview=true

I think because its a dry, hard surface an open game is facilitated.

Can't seem to find it

That's because the game has not been played yet. Usually they can only make highlights of a completed game. Otherwise you would be watching replays of players hitting tackle bags.

No what I mean is I can't find it on any TV guide

You know they say that all men are created equal, but you look at England and you look at the Springboks and you can see that statement is not true. See, normally if you go one on one with another team, you got a 50/50 chance of winning. But England are genetic freaks and they're not normal! So you got a 25%, AT BEST, at beat them.

Then you add Ben O'Keefe to the mix, your chances of winning drastic go down. See the game, at Ellis Park, you got a 33 1/3 chance of winning, but they, they got a 66 and 2/3 chance of winning, because Ben O'Keefe KNOWS England can't lose and he's not even gonna try and stop them!
So Springboks, you take your 33 1/3 chance, minus their 25% chance and you got an 8 1/3 chance of winning at Ellis Park. But then you take their 75% chance of winning, if you was to go one on one, and then add 66 2/3 per cents, they got 141 2/3% chance of winning at Ellis Park.
See Boks, the numbers don't lie, and they spell disaster for you on Saturday.

You listen here son, all your savage, brave, muscular, and especially good looking men left your puny island years ago to find adventure and shag all the foreign girls, today these wild men are called saffers.
They eat nothing but meat, and can crush lesser men's skulls between thumb and forefinger, sure they are semi-literate and and more or less unintelligible, but they are the peak of human abilities and the result of years of baby eating and government sanctioned eugenics.

Your manlets have reason to fear. Bokke by 20.

Aye, doesn't look like it's on.

The full game short and extended highlights will no doubt be on YT within a few hours of the game though.

Does anyone know if there's highlights on UK TV anywhere? (I don't have sky)

YouTube is your best best. Someone is bound to upload highlights after the game; even if it does breach copyright.

Can Sky really not find anyone better than SCW?

He's a World Cup winning coach. Unfortunately he can now basically say anything and fall back on that, even though he's not been involved in the game for 15 years.

I like how Eddie's selection policy has gone from all the locks he can crowbar in to no second row cover
